I've had this thing as long as I can remember. I named him Scott the penguin. I just turned 16 in January and I've had him by my side since I was a toddler. I remember when he was taller than me and I'd hug him- this thing was my best friend. I just found him in my closet after deep cleaning my room and he's still holding up, no ripped seams, no missing eyes or limbs, no stains, just penguin. He's not as tall as me anymore, but he's still my best friend. I love my Scott.

We used this product as a safety reminder walking in wintery conditions. They were a big hit and everyone wanted to keep them. At the end of the program we raffled them off. Needless to say we had a lot of unhappy people that didn't win one. They are large, soft and very cuddly. I would highly recommend them!!!!

Two foot Penguin for a Two foot Granddaughter

Having bought the Sea Turtle for my grandson, I bought this Penguin for my two year old granddaughter, her brother. This was my first purchase from Melissa & Doug which was highly recommended by my daughter, a counselor at an elementary school. Not really knowing what to get a two year old I relied on this Penguin being a Melissa's pick so I felt I couldn't go wrong. It is big, well made, and hopefully a gift to last for years to come. As for the Sea Turtle for my grandson, I am curious as to what name will be given to the Giant Penguin.
