No matter how low we have the regulator the thermostat reads over600 degrees

Nice little grill

Bought this primarily to bring camping and tailgating, but will also use as my daily grill for the time being as my full-size grill is at the end of its life. Easy to put together, less then 30 minutes, and very sturdy design. Heavy duty grill box, much more so then cheaper models. The heating element is adequately covered from drippings. The bottom of the grill box slopes toward the center opening to help grease slide into the removeable drip tray. Push button ignition worked on the first try. Thermometer didn't work very well but I use a digital meter anyway. Got up to 577F and easily grilled two strip steak complete with grill marks! Should get plenty of use out of this grill.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought in April 2019 the ratings helped me to decide to buy and glad I did being made in the USA was a big factor plus ordering replacement parts. cooks great for the wife and me been using non stop beats the price of the portable weber Char- Broil has improved alot over the years well done keep up the good work and grill on

BEST GRILL FOR THE PRICE!

We bought this originally because the rental beach house grill was horrible, so we grilled on this all week. We brought it home and up to this point I had never used the grill myself (mom/wife) because I was always nervous about the big tank. This thing is small enough that I felt comfortable using it. We have used this grill for 2 years grilling 2-3 times a week (for a family of 5). Over the years the paint in the top inside cover has started to peel, but I have never seen it fall off, I think it is just peeling. And where the element is connected to the other side of the grill has broken and so it is not secured anymore, but STILL WORKS! I cleaned it up for the first time on the outside (2 yrs worth of pollen) and looks GREAT! We liked it so much we are buying another one (this exact branch. The only thing I can see they changed are the open slats at the bottom of the grill. Thanks Char-Broil! Thanks to you, this mom can GRILL!!

6/22/2025 I Purchased this about 60 days ago from one of the big box hardware stores. I am a full-time RV'R and this looked like a good fit.
PROBLEM: Burner goes out frequently. Some days the spark ignitor won't light the grill and I am forced to use a long fireplace lighter. I purchased a new windscreen to put around the new grill and it doesn't seem to improve performance of this xpletive. Half the time burner goes out 2-3 mins after lighting. I've singed the hair off both arms on separate occasions attempting to relight this grill.

I was great the one time it worked. Regulator broke after one use. Ruined my camping trip.
