Worst gril I have ever bought

THis is the worst grill I have ever owned. I light it up to pre-heat and after about 20 minutes it might be at 350. All the heat is at the front because of the design of having one ignitor and design of the buners. Have to leave burners turned as high as possible to cook and still takes longer and dries out the meat compared to my old Charbroil I replaced which had burners in it that had the flames coming out of the sides instead of just the top of the burners. Flame is just a short blue flame which is why it takes so long to heat up or cook. Bought it in February and in April the far right burner only gives off a tall orange color flame while the other 3 are still the short blue color flame so I cant us the far right one, and YES it is clean.
Charbroil has had great grills in the past but they sure missed it on this one. Thinking about trashing this one and buying a different brand.

We're sorry to hear this. Is the grill facing directly into the wind or has the regulator been reset? If the grill is turned on or off incorrectly it can cause the safety device in the regulator to trip. This will cause a low flow and the regulator will need to be reset. This is an easy procedure that involves unhooking the regulator from the propane tank for a minute and then reattaching and following the lighting instructions on your grill. Make sure that when your grill is turned off that the grill is shut off first and then the propane tank. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

great product

took 2 hours to assemble everything fit perfect let it pre heat for 15 minutes and it got to 550 degrees cooks 5 burgers perfect in 10 minutes
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Grill!

This grill was easy to assemble and took about an hour and 15 minutes to put together. Everything we cooked on the grill-from chicken, to steaks, and ribs were cooked evenly across the cooking surface and tasted great. The grill quality is great and the preheat was fast taking about 7 minutes to reach 500 degrees. The stainless steel exterior features make the grill look sharp and gives the appearance of top quality. The grill is sturdy and durable. I would recommend a grill cover to protect the exterior. For the retail price of this grill I would guarantee this grill is more than your money's worth. Even though this item was sent to me as a free sample in exchange for my review, I take the reviews seriously and I would definitely recommend this grill for purchase.

Best Grill Ever Purchased

I have had this grill now for over a month long and love using it. The assembly instructions were very simple to follow and went together quickly. I live in Northern Ontario and grill 2-3 times and week and have never had any trouble especially in the colder weather. This is by far the best grill I've purchased and will never to back to another product. Great job Char-Broil!!!

Great grill for the price

We bought this grill about 1 month ago...our 1st ever gas grill!! So far it cooks great, we've used it probably 2-3x a week!!
BUT....2 major complaints that would make this grill AWESOME!!
1) the handle gets VERY hot....you MUST have a glove on to open the grill, and DON'T let kids get close enough to touch the handle!! The grill needs SOMETHING over the handle to help diffuse the heat!
2) is something minor, but would have been a great little addition...4 'S' hooks to hang utensils from on the sides!
All in all, so far a great grill for the price range. Haven't tried the side burner yet, it's just been a bit too windy for that!

Great grill

I bought this grill last weekend when we had a family get together. Assembled the grill following the instructions. It was super easy. I am impressed with the heat distribution. Grilled some chicken and it turned out so good that everyone in the party was impressed. The side burner is awesome too. I have used 3 grills since I started grilling when I was 18. This is the 4th and the best ever I bought. I just love my Char broil grill. Now my dad wants one too.

Worth the money!

I received this grill as a free sample in exchange for my truthful review. I wasn't sure what I would be getting and so I was skeptical.
The grill arrived unassembled and I was not looking forward to putting it together. Boy I was wrong, assembly was easier than I thought and did not require a "rocket scientist "! If I had one critique it would be the lack of a parts inventory list with the instructions.
After assembling the grill we cooked bratwurst and sautéed onions. Lighting the grill was simple using the battery push button starter. The knobs to control the burners were easy to use. I liked the rougher finish so they were easy to grip with my fingers. The grill heated up quite well, all four burners provided even heat distribution, exactly what we needed to cook the bratwurst , (See pictures). The grates were a good quality with the spaces between being exactly right. There was really no flame up from the grease and the bratwurst was cooked evenly. My wife likes them cooked extra crispy on the outside and I had no problems getting them done to her satisfaction. The onions were sautéed using the side burner, (See picture). The side burner performed well over all. One thing to note, the wind was rather brisk which I thought would effect the side burner since we have no wind break. The wind made no difference!
My wife is the real cook and she got busy for the next meal grilling her Cajun style whole chicken. The grill again did a good job. It heated up well and maintained the temperature evenly the entire time the chicken was cooking, (See picture). She really liked the heat shield built into the top of the inside of the lid. This allowed for a more true temperature reading from the thermometer attached to the lid. The chicken was done perfectly, the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy, it was delicious.
Our next meal was grilled hamburger steak and snow peas, (See picture). Again the grill heated up quickly and evenly. I seared both sides of the steaks at a high setting and than turned the burners down and continued cooking them at a temperature of 250 until they were well done. The snow peas were prepared in a cast iron skillet and placed directly on the cooking surface for about 10 minutes. I turned off the two center burners when I started the snow peas and the grill temperature with the lid closed was still at a temperature of 250.
One thing to note. It is February but it's unusually warm this year, which doesn't hurt to grill in.
As a final thought, cleanup! It was very easy! The grates were a breeze to clean before and after each use. One thing that has always frustrated me about gas grills I've had in the past, grease and burn off accumulating in the bottom of the grill. I hate cleaning that and have always put it off as long as possible. I also hate the whole empty tin can underneath to catch the drippings. Well this grill changes all that. The bottom of the grill is actually a tray with a drain catch. You can pull out the the drain catch for quick disposal or pull out the entire bottom tray for a thorough cleaning, (See picture). I love this feature, it really made a difference for me.
Final thoughts. I am very pleased with the over all performance of this grill. I have enjoyed using it and I can't wait until this summer for some more serious grilling. If your looking for a grill that is very inexpensive and versatile please consider purchasing this, you won't be disappointed!!!
