Good case with some design flaws.

This is an aesthetically pleasant case offering a good amount of protection, however, there are a few drawbacks that I would like to see addressed in the future.
First - the plastic bar connecting the pencil holder to the case is very flimsy. This is a point of failure as many people grip the iPad and rest their thumb on that spot. A stronger material should be used. The cloth pencil loop is a magnet for gunk and debris. I'd like to see the material changed to leather.
Lastly, I'd like to see a magnetic front cover rather than one that is attached to the case as a side hinge. I'd like the option of removing the front flap and having something like the statement series when the flap is removed rather than leaving one side of the iPad exposed. If would be even better if Otterbox could find a way to drastically reduce weight for the cover.

Overall, I like the case very much. The angle at which the iPad is propped up is a tad steep, which makes it a little unsteady if it isn't on a hard surface. The case seems very sturdy and made of high quality materials. I feel that my iPad is much safer. The case also has the ability to use accessories that I currently don't use, but I like having the option. Very good case, especially if you are looking for iPad safety without the bulk.

I've had this case for about a week and although it seems to be a well made product, the front cover has popped off at least 8-10 times for no apparent reason. It's suppose to be removable but falling off when opening does not offer much protection for the front side of my IPad. I like the case but can't rate it any higher because of this issue especially considering the cost.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Otterbox symmetry hybrid series is an excellent case, like other otterboxes. Tightly fitted, but not too hard to disconnect. If only it had a screen protector built-in also.

This is a great case. Rugged and elegant at the same time. It doesn't add bulk, the screeen shuts off when the cover is closed and turns back on when you open it. My only gripe is that I use my iPad in landscape mode 90% of the time and when doing so the cover will just hang unless supported by your hand. I would think that latching mechanism or magnet would have solved that. Overall I am very please with my purchase!

Well made case. Not heavy. I like the clear back so I can see the color of my ipad. It puts the ipad to sleep when closed. I do not have the apple pencil yet so I don't know how the holder will work. Good case otterbox.
