Catastrophic failure

Washer failed in less than four years. GE certified technician inspected the machine. The repair cost was higher than purchasing a replacement. I am disappointed that the machine did not last longer. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another GE washer.

Washer failed after four years

I have the matching dryer and wanted to love this GE set. Though I love the pedestal height and aesthetic, this washer is NOT RELIABLE. After less than four years of usage, the washer would continually repeat the spin cycle and leak water. We had a reputable appliance repair company diagnose the unit. I was informed that so many parts were worn and broken that it would be cheaper to replace the entire unit vs. repairing. So disappointed! I take very good care of this washer and only use small loads. This experience has sourced my impression of GE as a brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE Products are Terrible

We purchased all GE appliances for our new home. The clothes washer and dryer and dishwasher were terrible products. They constantly broke down and required repairs. We are finally at the point of replacing the appliances with a different brand. DO NOT BUY GE!
