Won't work in a triathlon

I bought this because the price was right and it is called Ironman. I wore it in 2 sprint triathlons and both times the screen went blank after a short 1/4 mile swim. Not able to use this for swimming.

This watch design has durability issues

I prefer Timex sports watches, mostly worry free and great value. But I bought one of these, it stopped working within about 6 months. I bought a second one thinking it was just a fluke. This second one stopped working in a few months as well. I'm going to try one of the other Ironman styles and hopefully will have better luck.

Not Waterproof, Defective Buttons

I don't dive, expose this to streams of that is pressurized water, or push buttons when the watch is wet, however, the buttons still get stuck and let small amounts of water in. This occurred in both of the identical watches I own, purchased a year apart.

Thank you for your time in leaving us with your feedback! We’re sorry to hear that the buttons on your watch got stuck which let small amounts of water in. Our watches are not water proof but they are water resistant. Your Timex Ironman watch is water resistant to 100 m which means it is suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling and water sports but not suitable for diving.
This issue came as a surprise to us. Our watches go through what we call a “Leak Test” which checks the water resistance of the watch and ensures that the back case is tightly sealed. We will make sure to escalate this to our Quality Analyst for review and investigation.

More Like Biathlon

This is the first Timex I've had that was Water Resistant but didn't work after it got wet. I wore while washing the car and it froze for a few hours before it worked again. Then I went swimming in a pool this past weekend and water got in it again and it hasn't worked since. How can you call it the Triathlon watch if you're not supposed to get it wet.

Don’t wear this in the water!

Out of habit I’ve always taken my watch off before showering or swimming but I went swimming in a pool on vacation and kept it on. Mistake- full of condensation and doesn’t work.

The Ironman Triathalon watch couldn’t handle hitting a beach ball around in the pool at the Y with an 8 year old

This watch is not necessarily water proof but it is resistant to water up to 100 meters and suitable for everyday use and water activities such as swimming (up to 100 m deep). Since you mentioned that the watch was used for light activities while swimming in a pool, we would like to take a look at it and investigate what happened. Watch is full of condensation. Never had this problem with the last 15 Ironman I’ve purchased.
