I used to wear a watch all the time but for the last 10-12 years I stopped and now I'm getting back to wanting a watch again. I figured I'd purchase a classic Timex as an easy investment back into the habit. I don't like the OVERSIZED watch fashion trend and I have small wrists...I'm a petite girl 5'4 105lbs...wrists about 5.5" circumference; about 2" in diameter. This 31mm watch is perfect...not too big and not too small. I'm not crazy about the band design, but I liked the yellow second hand and these straps are easily changeable.
I think because we're in the digital age, the ticking sound can be noticeable if it's very quiet. I don't mind a ticking noise that much but I do wish it was a little quieter. I know it would drive my husband nuts but I just put it in the nightstand drawer and it's fine.
The second hand moves in between each tick which is really annoying for me. You have to really be staring at the watch face at the perfect perpendicular angle for the needle to point exactly at a tick. That actually bothers me more than the sound. But then again it's a Timex and you get what you pay for...unless all watches have this problem...
Strap is 16mm, which unfortunately the market doesn't make very many fun and attractive straps in 16mm. I18mm straps have exponentially more variety of straps, but that means the watch will be bigger...boo. Oh well...
This watch is amazing! I got mine two years ago and it stands up to everything I put it through, from travel to swimming and basically anything you can think of. Because it's waterproof, I don't have to take it off and put it back all the time. Even the strap holds up to a lot of wear and tear. Would totally recommend!
This watch is a favorite of mine. It is very stylish, keeps correct time very well and is easy to read. It is very comfortable to wear. I have received many compliments on my watch.
