Bought this a month ago. My choices were very limited due to space available. I was looking for a much quieter machine than I had and one that cleaned the dishes better. All I ended up with was a bit quieter machine. Cleaning ability about the same as what I had.

Reading reviews is a good way to get an idea of how well products work. I did my reading, now it's my turn to write. I can tell you that I just replaced an older generation profile dishwasher with this one. It's so quiet I don't even know it's on. It cleans well and has a nifty feature of jets to wash inside of bottles. Granted, dishwashers are nothing to get excited about, all they do is clean dishes, but this is (so far) a pleasure. The installation is exactly the same for almost all dishwashers and in most cases even 'slightly handy' people can tackle this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The GE dishwasher has been upgraded from the model I had before. The electronics are below the dishwasher compartment. This prevents moisture from getting into the electronics, and stopping the dishwashers operation. I did experience the dishwasher stopping operation within the first month of installation. The factory repair took place quickly, and it is now operational. However, the repair individual removed a rubber gasket at the top of the dishwasher. Condensation has now occurred in the digital readout. I will need the repair folks to return to fix that.

This dishwasher replaced my previous GE Profile from 11 years ago. What an improvement. The dishwasher does just about everything and is extremely quiet. You can wash items using just the bottom rack when you do not have a full load turn off the top spray arms so as to not waste water. Very pleased.
