I love how long the cup keeps my coffee warm, though I usually use it to go from home to work, where I drink it without the lid. My ONLY complaint is the lid! It's not an issue with leaking, but the gunk that accumulates around the spring. What the heck is that gunk??? Like I said, the lid is generally only on the cup for a half hour or so; only steam is hitting the lid. I shouldn't need a Q-Tip and/or toothpick to clean a lid that only holds liquids. So is that the rubber, silicone, or whatever breaking down???
What's really gross is when it breaks loose and I haven't realized it until the coffee is in my mouth. Blech!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was starting a new job in 2011. The new company was absolutely intolerant of open containers at the work desk. I needed a spill proof container of the highest quality and that was when I found Contigo. I have purchased their many models of travel mugs and water bottles. I have given many as gifts. Contigo the only Travel Mug I’ll use.

Every one in the house has one. Pink for may granddaughter, blue for grandson, I really hate that they are not selling them and more. One handed lock. Great for kids.

Honestly, works too well

My boyfriend loves to take his on long road trips. But he complains that his coffee is far too hot on his trip and by the time it cools off it’s too late in his day to enjoy a cup! Hopefully with age the amount of heat dissipates or he learns to deal with it!

I have used Contigos for years. My first ones didn't have pull lever inside the lid for cleaning and no seal lock. I loved the improvements that allowed better cleaning in the lid and the seal and lock. I could carry it in my purse and not worry about leaking and beverage stayed hotter or colder longer. But last summer I bought a new one to keep in our RV. I was so DISAPPOINTED with the lock. It was so hard to lock or unlock with one hand. So if you decide to buy a Contigo, check that it is easy to use the lock. So sorry a great product was redesigned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

best bottlebottle, lousy cap

I love the bottle but cleaning the cap is heart wrenching when the spring comes off. I have 2 n when one did that, I had to b very careful when I'm cleaning the cap. Now both caps are useless .. I would have given 5 stars but for the caps.. Now I have a NON Autoseal coffee mug
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One Handed Perfection

This is the perfect one-handed liquid container. Keeps it cold when you want it cold, keeps it hot when you want it hot. And when it's closed you can shake it all day long and nothing's coming out. I show this one off to my friends by taking a sip, closing it and turning it upside down over my paperwork. Never fails to impress.
