Didnt have to buy mine at first because my husband, who does construction , found a case of them in an abandoned apartment. Fell in love the 1st time I used it. I don't go anywhere without mine. Very sturdy, this coming from someone who drops everything. My only concern with this product is that dispute cleaning it as described the lid retains coffee gooooh. I didn't realize it was coffee residue until I closely inspected the lid. Mind you I would always release the stopper when I would put it in the dishwasher. After taking it apart I found slime and dried up old coffee stuff under and inside the rubber parts and even on the walls where the liquid exits . I would love a solution for this because I can't live without my mug. I)lm after I finish this review I and going to email customer service

Great product, does everything they say, but man it is difficult to clean the lid properly. Soaking doesn't do it, it needs to be scrubbed and when scrubbed properly it really shortens the life of the lid.
That said i have 4 of these so i can rotate lids between uses as they are second to none.

My ONLY Mug

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the only TRULY spill-proof mug that I have ever used!! It keeps my coffee hot all day, fits my hand perfectly and even fits my car cup holder.
I had inadvertently left my old Contigo mug at church on Sunday morning and it never made it to the lost and found. I couldn't wait to get my new Contigo mug! I had to put up with coffee that was cold after one sip and never truly enjoyed my coffee again until my new mug arrived.

Many times you buy products based on the manufacturer's claims and they just do not perform as advertised. This is a great mug and performs as advertised. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a serious coffer drinker on the go, like I am.

Keeps my coffee hot doesn’t spill
But it was pricey but to keep my coffee hot was worth it until now I was drinking my coffee and the bottom fell off it won’t stay on so my favorite cup I can’t use anymore

The bottle is closed with steam on the lid and neck of the bottle, the paint is very easy to peel off.

Lid maintenance over time is frustrating.

The lid was leakproof at first, but it did not remain that way. I think this is because there is buildup around the rubber seal. I have tried to clean it but I can’t get this buildup off without damaging the rubber. I think this lid is too complicated and intricate. I want one that needs less/easier maintenance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best overall drink containers ever!

Many years ago a visiting coworker left his Contigo behind at plant, my husband started using it and we fell in love with it. We have several now in different sizes but with the leakproof push button lock, so easy to clean we take them everywhere with us, on plane, motorcycle, hiking, grandkids sports games and cold ice water on headboard of bed husband drinks a lot. We don’t like anything with straws because it’s harder to keep clean and mold free, so thank you for keeping these available always we won’t use anything else!!!
