This watch is understated, handsome and functional. It's a road warrior's watch. Timex can cram all kinds of technology capabilities into a watch, but do you really need your wrist buzzing every time your cell phone has something new for you to look at? I think not!
Here's what this watch won me over with: (1) Accurate date and time, regardless of your travels through time zones and international date line. (2) Understated elegance that's nice to look at, (3) Indiglo back light, and (4) basic activity tracker.
To be honest, the other watch features that are controlled by the cell phone (alarm, timer) might as well stay there. They're not needed on my wrist.
There are three things that are disappointing: 1. The timex app constantly crashes. Nothing else on my phone does that. The second sync attempt is usually successful. 2. The second hand is perpetually stuck between notches. It's not a big deal when displaying seconds, but that's how this watch displays the date! I checked with customer service - you cannot fine tune the second hand. See attached photo. 3. Synchronizing the watch with the phone requires you to initiate the process on both your phone and your watch at the same time. It would be great to land in San Francisco, press on the watch's button to sync, and get the right time a few seconds later.
On the up side, all these issues can be fixed in a future software release. I'm very hopeful that's the case, because I really like this watch!

Nice watch but not really

I got this watch because of it looks and the hope that it’d become a more capable fitness tracker as software updates roll out.
I’m satisfied wirh the former. The watch is nicely made and well... works. The issue I have lies with the software. I was unable to get the watch to sync to the app on my iPhone 7. I tried following every possible steps I could find, no luck. I’ve been trying to get it to work for the whole past week.
It is perhaps the best looking hybrid smartwatch out there, but I just can’t justify this purchase if none of the ‘smart’ stuff works. If you need just a regular watch, just get an analog one.

For a brand so iconic with sports decades ago, Timex has been left back in the 1980s with their tech. This is far too expense for what it does not do.

At first, I fell in love with this watch. After a few months, I can't get it to sync. Now, its mid-price hand adjusted watch w/fake digital features that I cannot use.

Activity Tracker App does not work

I bought this watch for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. The App that is needed to track activity does not work on his android phone. If you want an activity tracker do not purchase. The product does not work as expected and was a big disappointment.

Great watch but doesnt export data?

Of all the fitness trackers that don't look like fitness trackers this one may be my favorite. It keeps time very well, unlike many of the others. Sleep and pedometer are just fine and have some expected variance. The app isnt half bad either and does whats expected. All in all I think this is a great watch EXCEPT....
It DOES NOT CONNECT to apple health or any other health programs. Was not expecting this as almost every other watch of its kind does. Really thats the one thing Timex could do to take this from a two star product to a 5 star product over night. Why have the tracking data when you cant view it along side your other data, or combine with other health and fitness data?
Thats a major flaw and seeing as this isnt Timex's first attempt at a watch like this, it's really inexcusable that its not included.

The communication between the app and watch doesn't seem to work correctly. Timex doesn't seem to fully understand how to employ Bluetooth technology.
