Worth it

I had trouble finding one for a bit but finally did. It was worth it. Everything works as it should and it's a good rugged watch in general. All the other features are a bonus and work as advertised. I grew up watching shows show future tech with people talking into their watches and so on. The future is here.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers

Great Smart watch, so so Fitness tracker

For you runners and cycling folks take pause, the tracker uses S Health and doesn't send HR information to Strava and other apps. Also the run tracking feed to Strava and other apps is highly unpredictable, bad times and you don't know when it will send data to the app. This could be solved if the watch offered a running app like Strava or Runkeeper. The S Health doesn't seem to track splits for your runs and only gives overall split. Watch functions are really cool including bluetooth to headphones. But 4 GB of space isn't what you get after all the bloat that is loaded.
Pros: Bright display, Built-in speakers, sylish
Cons: run tracking, no strava

The one disappointing feature is the ability to shut the screen off to allow it to be worn during sleep. If you track your sleep, which S Health does the watch face continues to light. I have shut off the movement control and turned on do not disturb, but many times during the night the face will light the room for the time out period. Waking up to this is very aggravating and I now leave it on the night stand.

I have only had this smartwatch for one day but I must say that I'm very impressed with it! It is a great addition to my work and I love the ability to place calls, etc., with it. I suspect I'll even love it more after a bit more time passes!
Samsung makes some really great stuff! My wife and I both have Galaxy Note 5 phones and I couldn't be happier with them, either!

Cons: pretty pricey

Better than its predecessor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been toting around the Gear S2 3g watch for a year now and have really been loving it. When the S3 was announced I was very interested to see what new features it would have. To be honest the one thing that struck my fancy more than anything else with it was the battery. The Gear S2 3g has the mic/speaker so I was able to take calls already. It has GPS in it as well. What it didn't have was a battery that lasted very long. With the 3g version, it had a larger battery than the non 3g watch but it did have an extra radio in it to power, the 3g radio. Even though I never activated or used the 3g part it still took a toll on the battery. It would typically last a day. Some times, if I was very careful I could get 24 hrs but that's it. The Gear s3 has a larger battery in it. So far in my usage, which is pretty heavy, I get around 60-70 hrs out of it. The speaker on it seems louder than the s2 as now when I am driving I can leave my hand on the steering wheel when taking calls and can still hear the other person just fine. Another aspect of the s3 I have really liked is the upgrade in hardware. The processor makes this watch stutter free, which was not the case with the S2. Great improvement on that. The one draw back I have seen with this watch is the band. The band is a silicone band and seems to be more "sticky" than the s2 band. The S2 was also silicone but smoother and more slippery. I don't like to wear watches that are secure tightly to my wrist. I like to be able to have them slide up and down my wrist. With the s2 this worked great, the S3 however needs to be loosened up so much that it will actually fail to recognize that its on my wrist all the time and screen lock (because I have Samsung pay activated, I need screen lock). So I do have to wear it slightly tighter than I prefer but this can be fixed with a new band. Speaking of Pay, it is so nice having MST on my wrist now. I shop at many places that don't use NFC so I have always had to pull out my phone to make a payment. Those are now days of old as I have been successfully using my watch at these same terminals with no problems at all.
All In all I would say its a great watch with a lot of great features. It blends in nicely with my s7 and it would definitely be missed if I were to lose it. I think Samsung has made a great product and I hope it has many days of flawless operation ahead.

Best Watch Ever

This watch has the ability to do more than just tell time. It has GPS for navigation, call forwarding (Mobile provider sim-card), music control, music playback, telephone functionality, water resistant, awesome watch faces, step counter, heart rate monitor, and functional bezel which helps to navigate the screen, light sensor, wi-fi, video playback (YouTube), and great battery life. I know that I probably missed some features, but all-in-all, a great product! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Battery has lasted several days and the step counter seems pretty close to another device I use which are both pluses over the Gear Fit2. Love this watch so far.
