Finally, the watch I've been waiting for

I had the original Gear S (still have it). It was excellent and met all my expectations. However, when I switched to a non-Samsung phone, the S was pretty useless. Now, though, the S3 has brought me everything I wanted and more. And it works like a charm with my non-Samsung phone. Every feature is available and everything is smooth as silk. I love this watch!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Built-in speakers, non-samsung phone compatibility
Cons: expensive

Have had all versions of the gear s series. This one is a really great one. It is fast and the rotating bezel is great. The only addition I would like to see are more apps. Good job samsung......

Great style, features

I bought the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier as a birthday present to myself in December and I love it. It's everything I expected the watch to be. It's a simple, yet still stylish design. I love getting all my notifications on my watch without having to pull out my phone and then decide if I want to read what I was notified about whether it be emails or Facebook posts.
It was simple to setup with my S7 Edge phone, which I also bought earlier this year. I like how you can pretty much control most of the settings on the S7 Edge for the watch.
The watch also has some pretty cool health features and tracking like for running, walking, checking your heart rate using the S Health app if you're interested in keeping track of those things.
The only thing I would say is to new owners and potential buyers is to protect the screen. It's definitely not a watch you want to bang up or accidentally hit against any objects.

Great watch very durable. Already put it to the test waterproof and took it on hikes. The battery on the lasted the whole 3 days.

Only two drawbacks to me

For a watch that does hundreds of things, I only find 2 faults. One is you can't turn off the always on face. In other words, it's not always lot up, but a twist of the wrist, and it lights up for you. Even if your just scratching an itch, forming your steering wheel, reaching for your drink etc. The other is you can't control the fitness app. Haven't found a way to turn it off, or delete it. Can't even find a way to get the fitness app that I do use to work on the watch.
All that said, the watch overall is absolutely excellent. I'm going to buy one for my wife as a gift as soon as possible.

Love the watch, about a 2.5 day battery life with the constant on display at 3. The heart rate monitor is really inconsistent for me for whatever reason. Great size and feel. Haven't experienced an real issues with it other than the heart rate monitor.

I can leave my phone at work and it actually works. The watch is durable and waterproof. It is overall great.
