Excellent Design

Just about perfect. I'd buy it just to get SamsungPay and the 4g LTE capability.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers

Love this watch! Glad I can use it as a phone without the phone being near.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, watch bands need more color choices

nice looking watch, HORRIBLE battery and features

this watch is not a "smart watch". if I add any extra apps, it drains the battery. Samsung apps take up too much space, leaving no space for music or anything else. I have to completely reset the watch about every 2 months because it starts going so slow or will not charge properly. I would never recommend this to anyone. I own a Samsung phone, but will never waste my money on one of their wearables again.

Misnamed - should be Dumb Watch

Woke up this morning and my brand-new S3 says that it is 10:08 pm on January 28, 2019.
This has happened a few times now, and I've had the thing less than 2 weeks.
Returned for refund! The primary function of a watch is to tell you the time. If it cannot do that (at least to an acceptable degree of accuracy), then it's time to get a new watch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Major battery drain

When I first got this everything worked well. Then an update killed it. There have been many updates but it continues to die within a couple of hours. I think I will get my original Gear fixed and go back to that.

Great hardware, intuitive UI, very long battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a lot of experience, with smartwatches, owning 8+ smartwatches, from the original pebble, multiple fitbits, samsung galaxy gear, moto360, etc, and the Samsung Frontier S3 is one of the best I've owned.
Pros:
- Incredibly responsive UI: one of my favorite things is to spin the bezel to switch screens. It is so quick, the screens transition as fast as you can turn the dial, it's fun just to spin the dial around quickly. The dial is also great for accessing information when you have gloves on
- Battery life: from what I've seen, typical smartwatches with color displays last one, two days at best. The S3 Frontier has lasted me 4 days without a recharge, on medium brightness. The option to enable additional power saving can really extend battery life
- Solid build: I've had multiple Fitbits break during strenuous activity, but I've had barely a scratch on the S3 Frontier. I have not had issues weightlifting, biking and running with it on - it's rugged enough for the outdoors.
