Do not I repeat Do not buy! The plug in required to operate this watch will freeze and crash your phone all day rendering your phone useless. Samsung has known about this issue for weeks and still have not fixed it! Get it together Samsung!!

I purchased last year and the first one had a defective button. Samsung sent out a new watch immediately upon receiving the damaged device.

Dead in 6 months!

I took immaculate care of my Gear S3. There is not a scratch on it. After 6 months, it stopped charging. I submitted for warranty repair and was told that it was not repairable and had motherboard water damage. Beside the fact that the watch is billed as water resistant, my watch never got wet. Never. Not once. I'm out $350 for a watch that will never work again. Samsung is not standing by their product. I'm done.
Cons: Poor quality, dies in 6 month, not reliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sensors failure

Good piece of hardware hampered by terrible software

The S3 Frontier is handsome with good battery life, some useful sensors, and a nice dial input reminiscent of the old ipod. But there are almost no apps available, not even a gmail app or a decent countdown timer.
The user interface is not intuitive, and is very inconsistent. It is hard to customize the various notifications, so that the watch has to set to either make constant annoying noises or else not to notify at all. It is almost as if no effort was made to make it useful to the user, but instead it was just packed with features to help market it.
The Galaxy phones are great, but software is a big weakness for Samsung. They should stop pushing their own mediocre programs and utilize more Google software since that at least works properly.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no apps, terrible software design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
