So far so good...

I have had the Galaxy S3 gear for less than a month. I have added many apps and charged it many times as some of the apps can be "power pigs" and need to be monitored. Currently only three apps are using power and the battery life seems to be adequate. There are functions available that will prevent apps in the background from consuming power and a general power saving mode which, of course limits the functions & apps that can be utilized but extends the battery life considerably. The time out for the watch display can also be adjusted which will affect battery life. This watch is not "waterproof" and expecting it to be an underwater timepiece will, no doubt, shorten the life of the watch. For all my watches, I do not expose them to water and temperature changes such as hot/cold water as different materials expand and contract different amounts and at different rates and the more constant the temperature, the better the overall performance will be. Extreme temperature variations I am sure also affects battery life in general? So far, I have tried to take care of this computer/watch and it appears to be working well for me!
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight, Built-in speakers, Durable

i have never been able to get more than 8 hours out of this watch, if i make a call with 40 % of battery the watch will turn off and never turn on until i charge it back.
Pros: Bright display, Durable
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only reason I wont give this watch 5 stars is because the engineers really need to include the "night stand" feature that the apple watch has. Other than that it's almost perfect.

I've had the watch for a couple of months, it's replacing a Fitbit Surge. It's easy to use and has many customizable screens and settings. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the heart rate monitor. I used my Surge to train in target heart rate zones, and the Gear will at times fluctuate wildly on the heart rate. I once saw it go as high as 210 bpm.

I love the watch. Like the fact that it looks very sturdy and has performed well since I purchased it. I love the health aspects of the watch but haven't really used S Health because of a reported battery issue. The lack of Google voice and maps is the only thing that I can knock it for, other than that it's perfect.

Great Watch and then some!

I switched from fitbit to Samsung and while it was a big change at first it was worth it in my opinion. It has many apps available and it seems like many new ones are added every week so you can add basically what ever you want. I've never owned an Apple watch but I don't know what this watch has that they don't.

great watch but with drawbacks

This is a good watch. I would say great but the battery life leaves a lot to be desired. On average I get a day and a half off of one charge. The apps are nice but many of those suck up more battery life. Plus not being waterproof just water resistant was a hard adjustment from the Garmin I had. But the functionality is great. being able to see text is great. Still having issues with playing music but overall it is a good watch

Pros - Fast, easy to use, plenty of features and loads of face watches.
Coons - Not so many apps available at this time, but it might change soon. The voice recognition commands are a little clunky.
