Fantastic hardware, OS and app availability is lacking

Being a long time Samsung user I ignored others warnings about the Tizen OS for Gear being so limited in apps that are available for it. And unfortunately the interest from developers to develop for tizen is low since they are already have to develop for Apple and androidwear.
The "app" store is mainly filled with watch faces which is nice if you want a watch to be able to change the faces of often, but I was hoping to use the watch as a smart watch with endless potential. Medical apps, Car remote start, streaming apps are all lacking in the Tizen market :(

First smart watch, but not the last one after see how great this one is ; no doubt about it. It sync with my phone with out any problems, so smoothly and in top of that I'm able to use a Bluetooth headset at the same time and it doesn't interfere with it.

I own dozens of watches but this is beyond that of just a watch. I have been wearing this constantly for about 2 weeks now. I like all the different watch faces and interchangeable straps that will keep me excited about all the new looks. Of course my favorite feature is Samsung Pay. I haven't been able to get nfc to work yet but the magnetic transmission works flawlessly and faster than on my galaxy s6 edge plus. I love to see the cashier's draw drop when I put the watch up to the card reader. Battery life is great. Two days of use and still over 30 % remains. Charging is fast. Under 2 hrs for me to a full charge but I just set it on the charger while getting dressed for the day and I'm good to go. If only my phone could do that. You hit a grand slam with this one. BTW, I almost bought a WiFi/Bluetooth only version but got a great deal on a LTE and I'm glad I did. I never have to worry about being tethered to my phone or near WiFi anymore. Thank you Samsung.

Very nice watch

Love the look and feel as well as the easy to use interface. In my experience thus far it seems to track steps, floors and sleep habits well. Using Samsung Pay from the watch is very convenient and fast. I much rather use Samsung Pay over having to insert my debit which has a chip which takes much longer at the register. I look forward to new apps to come available for use.
Pros: Bright display, look & feel, battery life
Cons: bezel may scratch easily

I have been holding on to my Gear S seems like forever. I finally decided to upgrade to the Gear S3. So glad I made the change. Style and class of the watch is much better. Battery life is pleasant upgrade. More choice of apps and watch faces.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Built-in speakers

Best smart watch I've owned. Great battery life (approx 3 days with moderate use). Nice style and form. Reliable device that works well with my S7 Edge. Would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fair priced reliable smart watch. Very pleased!

Just bought and I love that I can not carry my phone around at the office and still not miss a call.

I opened the box and was impressed right away. The presentation of the watch is immaculate. It has good weight to it and feels like a durable watch. I got this delivered to me at work and had my coworkers watch me unbox it. They were all immediately impressed by the sharp colors in the screen and all of the features I started listing off. They all played with the bezel and felt like it was probably the most helpful tool to have on the entire thing. They all got excited with me as I kept playing with it throughout the day and experiencing some of the features for the first time. There's plenty of apps to download. My wife was skeptical when I got home (I didn't tel her I bought it because it's a little pricey) but when I showed her I had already put several of our pictures on the watch face, she said I earned a kudos. When I showed her the SOS feature, she genuinely was impressed. Still my first day having it but I can already tell how much better it is than my Gear Fit2. Still great watches and fitness bands but the Gear S3 is superior.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Built-in speakers, bezel, good weight, easy interface, supporting apps, universal 22mm bands, texting inputs, fantastic notifications layout
Cons: not comfortable yet
