Everything about this product is so superbly designed and constructed. Jar: The perfect size for single-serve blends, but with a little extra capacity if and when you need it. The jar’s smaller size makes it very easy to remove contents, to handle, and to clean. Lid: The lid, vent hole, and vent cap are each proportionately smaller; again making them extraordinarily easy to handle and to clean. The lid has flanges which latch onto a plastic lip which runs around the top outside rim of the jar. This design allows the the lid to be securely affixed to the jar, but it also facilitates the easy removal of the lid in that you can use the flanges as little handles to pull the lid off of the top of the jar. The lid also appears to be thicker and more rigid than the full-size lids. A feature I like.
I do not see any negatives or cons in this product. I use this Mini Wildside Jar almost exclusively now, and I absolutely love it. I highly recommend this product!

ok so I've been using blendtec for years.. And I kinda knew the jars mattered... i just ordered my mini wildside jar and oh boy what a difference I have been doing this all wrong. I use my jar for coffee drinks smoothies etc for the small batches and personal sizes. Before I would just throw some stuff in the blender and wonder why the amount was always more than what I needed but since I got this jar it has been nothing but greatness I am super happy I purchased this jar and hate that I waited sooooo long to do so.. your probably thinking it's just a jar but trust it Matters...Don't hesitate

all the people here saying this works great for single-person smoothies must like GIANT smoothies...it performed the very same as the full-size jar for me - air gap at the bottom, blade whirring into nothing, constant stopping/stirring/restarting to get it to blend - everything i was trying to avoid. if you're considering it for other purposes, it might be great, but if, like me, you're seeking the perfect pint glass (give or take) single smoothie, this is not the answer.
