This was a gift from my employer. The knives are really nice and they seem like they will hold up well but, my past experience with riveted knives was not the greatest; the blades on my last riveted set came loose from the rivets. My most recent set of knives were all one-piece knives (handle/blade) and they held up great. My riveted set were not Cuisinart knives so I cannot really compare my last riveted set to my new Cuisinart set.
