[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this slow cooker for about three weeks now and I've already used it four times - twice for beef stew, once for enchiladas and once for a chocolate pudding cake. The cooker is a great size for my family of six, making plenty for the main dinner and leftovers for additional meals. I find that the slow cooker, set on high, gets really hot. I'm still experimenting with this, but it my suggestion is to go with the low range on the time for recipes (i.e., 3 hours for a suggested 3-4 hour cook time). The chocolate pudding cake and the enchiladas both burned on the bottom when left at the mid-range of the suggested time (the recipes came straight off the box). Slight burning aside, I have to say the meals came out moist and flavorful. The chocolate pudding cake will make another appearance in my home, just cooked for about a half an hour less! As far as features go, the crock pot is designed to have a tight seal with the locking hinge, although I think mine may be defective on one side, since I can see a gap on the left side whereas the right side sits flush. You would think this might cause some heat to escape on that side but if anything, that side seems to cook hotter, since both the cake and the enchiladas burned on that side. Maybe an overactive heating element on that side? But getting back to the hinged/locking lid, what I really like about the pot is that the lid is easily detached for cleaning, and the tub and lid are dishwasher safe. It also makes transporting your dish to a party a snap, since the lid produces a nice seal, unlike my other crock pot that has a non-attaching lid. One thing that would be a nice improvement on future models is to enable the lid to snap to the tub - as it is currently designed, it only snaps in place when the tub is inside of the appliance. This complicates storage slightly, but overall it works pretty well. Finally, the slow cooker automatically switches to the "warm" mode when the timer is up, so you don't have to worry about leaving this unattended for a bit if you have other things to take care of while the food is cooking (I'm speaking about soups and stews here, not the other recipes which may tend to burn if you don't cut the heat rights away). I for one like my stews to continue to simmer for hours after serving, just in case anyone wants seconds! * Full disclosure: I received this item free to try out before it hits the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had many crock-pots before this one, but I have always had the same issue. Whenever I would make something to carry to a friends house, I would be worrying about spilling on the ride over. This solves the problem! Also a nice feature is the hinged top which allows you to open an close the top without having to find a place to set the top. Great item! Other than that, pretty good crock-pot that is programmable! Good quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Why hasn't someone thought of this before? The lift & serve feature is so helpful! I found myself using this crockpot for more meals than just potlucks. It cooks well and is incredibly easy to clean up. I highly recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the feature of the lid! No rubber band that gets lost or comes off to mess with. Great for on the go! I also really like the programmable feature. Only downside was the warm setting still cooks on high and continues cooking the food. I received this as a sample to review and will continue using going forward.

I really like the lid lift feature on this Crock-pot. My kitchen is small so this feature saves space when I open it to add ingredients, stir or serve . There is no mess from setting the lid down. It stays in place securely and safely. It is easy to use with the timing feature. It is better than I expected.

For the few times I have used since I just recently got it, it works really well. Just make sure the lid is all the way open so it won't fall on your hand as you are serving.

I prepare meals at one sight and must transport them to another site for serving. I purchased three of these for this purpose. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered there is a notch (spoon rest) in the liner that prevents the lid from sealing to the liner. Also, the rubber ‘seal’ is made from very thin, poor quality material. This does not serve my purpose well.
As a stationary crockpot it works well and the hinged lid is a very nice feature.

Thank you for your review. This model isn't designed specifically for travel, and is not supposed to seal tightly. For those purposes, we would recommend one of our Cook & Carry™ models. I've included a link below to one of our newest Cook & Carry™ slow cookers. Thank you.
