I bought this as a replacement gift for my mom. Her old slow cooker gave out after about 5 years. I chose this one because it had everything she likes. It's programmable, it comes apart to wash easily and the lid stays attached

Like the crockpot but miss my older version where the lid fully removes simply. I have to place the crockpot on my counter towards the edge in order to open it because the latching lid. When it’s latched it won’t open unless like this bc it knocks into my cabinets and closes. I don’t want to unlatch it every time I need to open it but I either have to or have it right on the edge of the counter which is dangerous with a toddler. This is referring to the back latching piece.
