[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This crockpot is definitely improved over past versions. It feels sturdier, the locking latch is better built, the interface is easy to use, and the stainless steel finish is a nice touch. I would definitely recommend it!

My recent purchase is awesome. Added my ingredients to "Crockpot Delicious Meals", (chicken marsala), and 1 1/2 hrs later my home smelled wonderful. I had to refrain from tasting it due to the still raw chicken in it! Once cooked, it was phenominal!! Even had a lot of extras, (I'm single and meal is huge), so I got to pack away some in my " Foodsaver". Love its ease of use and programmable abilities. Didnt have crockpot liners, but washed out with a sponge!! Sooo easy! I would recommend Crockpot brand to anyone!!!

I ordered this to replace mine that broke. I love the new one! The locking lid is so nice to prop up and not have to worry about burning your hand or dripping everywhere. The food cooked to perfection. The programmable controls are so conveinent! I love mine!

I currently have 4 Crock-Pots, in varying sizes, and use them all...I don't know what I'd do without them. When I saw a 'programmable' for such a reasonable price and great features I knew I had to get it. If you're smart, you'll grab one for yourself!

I love this crockpot. I gave my old one to my son for his first apartment and bought this one as a replacement. It works great. I have only had it a few weeks, but have made many great dinners. I like the lid and the size!

I bought this as a Christmas present, I chose it for the digital timer because very few models have this feature. I thought the locking lid was a great idea - I was wrong. The instructions say NOT to lock it while cooking. this leaves the lid slightly open which causes the food to dry out. Also the lid doesn't open wide enough to attend to large items like a ham. The pot is very well built and I would buy another Crock Pot, just not this model.

Love the hinged lid. Every crock pot should have one. The ladle notch is handy. The lid lock is unnecessary. So I removed it. Control pad is responsive and easy to use. It cooks with the expected perfect Crock-Pot quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I often use a slow cooker to prepare dinners. Here is my review of the Crock-Pot 6qt. Programmable Locking Hinged Lid slow cooker.
Pros:
Nice capacity. I have a 4 qt. slow cooker as well and often when I am making soups, stews or just doubling a recipe, my 4 qt. is just too small. This size is much more accommodating.
The locking feature is nice to have when transporting food in the slow cooker—no worrying the lid is slip sliding around!
I appreciate that you can program the cooking time and it automatically goes into the ‘warm’ setting when the cooking time is complete.
The lid and stoneware are dishwasher safe.
A few recipes are included on the box and in the instruction booklet.
Even with the hinged lid you can easily use a liner. Just detach the hinged lid, apply the liner and re-attach the lid.
Cons:
My stoneware arrived with no less than 10 blemishes on it. Some chips, some bubbles, some blemishes. I especially did not like the chips that already exposed the white underneath. They were all very tiny but still not what you’d expect out of the box.
The hinged lid makes it much more difficult to check on your food. I guess the seal is much tighter. The lid fills with steam so you cannot see anything inside and if you want to quickly peek, at least in my case, there was not enough clearance under my cabinets to open the lid enough to see inside. I have to pull the slow cooker all the way to the edge of my counter (not safe!) to peek inside to stir or add herbs and spices.
It is not easy to open and release the lid with one hand. I found myself using two hands which was a bit inconvenient.
You cannot select a time for ‘warm’. You can select ‘low’ or ‘high’ and then arrow up or down to select your cooking time (in 30 minutes increments) but if you go to ‘warm’ it disables the time arrows. Just strange.
I do feel the ‘warm’ setting is far too hot. It even seems hotter than the ‘low’ setting! My recipes were boiling and bubbling after just an hour on the warm setting after cooking for their designated time on ‘low’.
Overall, I think this product has some definite advantages and some definite disadvantages.
