LOVE the hinsage locking feature!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this new hinge locking slow cooker! Perfect for traveling so the lid can't slide. When you lift the lid to stir all the liquid falls into the crockpot not making a mess on the counter great feature. The outside doesn't feel particularly durable and shows fingerprints easily. The cooking was perfect and we appreciated the setting features that allow us to set a timer in 30 minute increments to switch to warm. The hinge feature can be removed off the back for easy cleaning. The only downside is is if your cabinets are low in your kitchen it's hard to have the slow cooker under the cabinet when you lift it. Highly recommend this slow cooker! Please know I received this slow cooker as a sample for review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great crockpot- I love the hinged lid so you don't have to worry about stirring dinner and holding the lid at the same time. It cooks evenly and well. Also enjoyed using the timer function- very handy when I'm not home all day but don't want dinner to keep cooking. Only con is that you have to be careful opening the lid because the steam could burn you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lift and serve hinged crockpot is a great size for my family. We had a smaller one but with six people I sometimes wasn't able to fit everything in the one I had . The hinged lid makes it easy to check on the progress of the meal and to add the additional ingredients at the end of cooking without having to remove the lid. It is also easy to serve without fear of the lid dropping. Time will tell if the durability of the hinge will last as you have to remove it to clean and to place the crockpot into the base. *I received this product as a sample to review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Crock Pot a few weeks back for free in order to review it. After using the Crock Pot with locking lid several times I've come to the conclusion that it is a decent enough product. Let's start with the good, the product is well made, with thick, heat retaining stone wear, an easy to read display, the ability to increase the cook time in 30 minute increments and a lid that does lock tightly enough in place to prevent spilling in the event of a tilt during transportation. The hinge on the lid is also very convenient since you can open the cooker without needing to find a place to set the large lid. The locks hold the lid securely in place when it is closed and also when it is hinged upwards to allow access to the pot. Additionally, I found that the stonewear and the other surfaces of the unit clean very easily.
The downsides start with the lid itself. Because of the attachment to the locking bits, the lid will sometimes retain water under the handles after washing. Needless to say, in the event of an actual spill or splash this would make cleaning a hassle. Also, there is no removing the stonewear without removing the handle completely first. Lastly, a word of warning, yes this is designed to be portable so you can take your food after cooking and keep it warm, but the sides of the vessel become extremely hot during cooking and stay hot for quite a while after. Even if you don't spill your food, an errant touch may end up burning you.
Drawbacks aside, if this is offered at a price point similar to cookers with comparable features it's still not a bad deal. If you have no need for more bells and whistles and want a crockpot with a locking lid, this is a decent choice.

Defective hinged lid

I purchased this Crock-Pot due to the locking hinged lid feature. Unfortunately, my lid is defective. The pins holding the hinge onto the lid, are not secure and have fallen into the crockpot, on several occasions, while cooking. This is dangerous! No matter how I have replaced the pins and tried to get them to stay, they continue to fall out when the lid is opened. I ordered a replacement lid, which Crock-Pot replaced at no charge, yet ended up receiving the wrong lid. I've ordered a second replacement lid. Hopefully this one will be free of defects. Otherwise, Crock-Pot should consider doing a recall on this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
