I chose this one because it had the lid attached to it. It's sturdy & really stays on the crockpot when it cooking! It's easy to clean & use. I'm really glad I chose this model.

I've always had problems with where to put the lid when I check the food and now there's no problem at all! It cooks so well too. The crock comes out for easy cleaning. The programming is so easy to do too.

Excellent Slow Cooker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just recently received the Crock-Pot hinged lid slow cooker and was very impressed. I cooked a pork roast in 6 hours on low that normally takes 8 hours on high in my old crock pot. It seems to hold the heat in better due to the locking lid. This lid has a rubber seal around it that creates a great seal and prevents spills during transport.
The timer is very nice to have and allows for you to not have to ensure you will be nearby when time is up. I made apple butter with the slow cooker cooking through the night on the timer. When it was done, it just switched over warm.
The lid does lift somewhat high on the hinge and requires more height under your cabinets than slow cookers that are not hinged. Or just more counter space in front of your cabinets.
The way the hinge and latch attach to the lid there is a space where water pools on the lid and is difficult to get dry after cleaning. This could be more water tight I feel with a differently designed latch and hinge but is just a very minor concern.
One other item that I noticed was that in order for the lid to latch entirely, I had to make sure the pot was just slightly pushed back, otherwise the lid latch would disengage with just a light pull. When it's latched properly, you have to hit the open button to unlatch it. This is a minor item and it seems like the way the pot rests needs some fine tuning. It may have just been my unit.
Overall it seems like a quality made slow cooker and will be put to a lot of use. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a slow cooker.

good lid idea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is a great idea for tailgating. the lifting lid is a good idea when taking to parties or outings. this new lid creates a super seal unlike older crock pots. the only con about that is the condensation on the lid makes it difficult see your meal cooking. for everyday use, the new feature lid can be cumbersome. the base unit is much lighter than older models and can be easily picked up with one hand. Overall I would recommend this crock pot.
