Kicking the wheels

This is my first experience with iPad. I am kicking the performance wheels and finding it to be a good experience. I am hoping to get the understanding of this tablet and getting something bigger from screen size perspective. I have not close any of the apps that I opened from the time that brought that machine and I have yet to see it lose total charge.
I plan to condition my battery over the next days and expect that I will have a BEAST performance in the area of battery.
