Great for all kinds of emergencies

This device is an excellent value for its low price. Even the battery compartment shows intelligence (the lower battery has a push terminal for the negative side of the battery, as a spring would have made it quite difficult to install).
The weather radio works fine, the flashlight is modestly bright (saving batteries at a critical time), and the ability to recharge a USB device (typically a phone) is an unusual bonus (and may be a literal lifesaver). It is also handy that they have provided the means of recharging the internal rechargeable battery using an external charger.
I have submitted a question as to whether a common 5V supply may be used vs. the 4.5V supply listed, and I hope they will append their reply to this review.

If you don't have an Iphone, I recommend this.

I back pack and camp a lot. This always goes with me. The light is small but good, the radio picks up good enough. It charges my phone to full, in about 5 min. The AA's don't last as long as I would like and the internal battery could be be a little better, but for the price, I'm really happy with it.
Bad part is, it wont charge some of the higher tech phones.

WeatherX WM/FM/WB radio with flashlight - necessary in the Midwest (unsolicited employee review)

This is one of the 1st WeatherX models I've bought. It has a lot of features I need when hunkered down in my basement during one of our Midwestern storms. It is also very useful to take along to listen to radio stations or keep up with the weather.

Ok but not what i wanted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this radio for about 2 weeks. I was a little taken aback by how light weight it is, but all the options appear to work. The one option I was wanting, however, is not on this radio. I bought it to replace a weather radio we'd had for years which eventually "gave up the ghost". The main feature on the old radio that I had assumed would be on this one is an automatic alarm system that would start the radio then sound an alarm whenever an alert was issued for a specific area. We live in a tornado-prone area and this feature of the prior radio allowed me to go to sleep during many a storm, with the knowledge that I'll be awakened should a severe storm head our way. I just assumed this feature was offered on this radio, but it is not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect functional size, AM/FM Stereo - Battery operated & USB plugin, LED Flashlight and the bonus is a dynamo hand crank; which will recharge the internal battery and other connected devices, ex." Cell Phone". Takes 3 AA batteries..make sure you have dry extra AA batteries in your kit ready to use for an emergency.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this radio two weeks ago and I just had to charge it up once. I use this radio every day while I’m working on the yard so it’s with me at least two hours a day.the sound is great and the volume is outstanding. I like the fact that it has two different kinds of lights and the siren is really loud. I will use this radio when I go camping because it’s got solar charging and rechargeable batteries, it’s also has regular battery capacity and it comes with a charging cable. There is even a charging port for your phone. As a last resort it has a dynamo charger which you can crank for a couple of minutes to get power.
I would recommend this to a friend!
