[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The camera was easy to set up. ADT will monitor the camera on a 60 day trial basis but the camera needs a zoom lens and night vision.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super security device!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great device when I travel! The camera allows me to monitor my hotel room when I am not there. It is small and fits in with the decor. I can watch who is in my room in real time. If there is a problem I can alert the front desk. Gives me peace of mind as a traveler!

Great Device, wish for some minor improvements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The security device has very stylish and was super simple to set up. It easily blends into a space and has great potential but possesses a few minor flaws.
The App is pretty simple to use, easy and quick to get started.
The app is laid out well and easy to manage. The app also records a log of all temperature and humidity changes which is a nice touch. This device has a 2-way Mic, which is nice and the ability to take photos. one thing i would like to see in the next version is the ability to Pan and zoom, something that many new camera are coming out with. when it switch between day/night mode, it makes a clicking noise. not too found of that. Overall, it is a great device that I would recommend. maybe future txt alerts would be great as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because of style/price/features. It was not till I got it home and set it up that I discovered the clock does NOT stay lit 24/7. We've always had microwaves with an active clock on them. Had I known this, I would NEVER had bought this microwave. Very disappointed that there is not a feature to keep the clock active 24/7.

Very stylish indoor camera

Easy to unbox. Nice compact packaging of the camera. Secured well to avoid any damage during transit.
Setup:
Easy to setup. Took only few minutes to setup using my iPhone.
App:
Its confusing as the App name is linked with ADT. It appears like you don't need any subscription to use the device.
App is not little slow respond and not as smooth as other mobile Apps I interacted with.
Used it from both office and home. Seems to work without any issues.
Camera:
Good video and audio quality. There is little lag to see the video. Might be because internet connectivity. I liked the night mode. Night mode is very clear and is of great use.
Built:
Camera design is unique and aesthetically pleasing. Looks like decorative piece in living room.
Integration with Smart Home Hub:
Didn't test it. Will integrate when I purchase one.

Great alarm system for renters!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am going to go through this review with a unique perspective: I work for ADT. Therefore, I am familiar with how alarms work and specifically, how Pulse works. ADT Canopy and thus the LG Smart Security is not for everyone. I will go through each example and completely explain the limitations of the the product. Also, I will do my best update when updates happen -- because I do expect updates to be rolled out (already they added features and the product just launched).
**WHAT I LIKE**
I like a lot of the product, and for the most part it does exactly what I need. I am renting and my wife has never had her own place. So when she is home alone she feels uneasy, and I wanted to have the alarm so she can breathe easy at night. The alarm works great. The motion settings works surprisingly well. I know motion detector's are famous for setting a lot of false alarms -- especially with pets. So far even with a very large dog we have had no false alarms during the night when the dog is allowed to walk around. We even tested it and talk to him through the two way feature and he comes to the alarm and walks around and it does go off. I also had my five year old son crawl around like a dog and the alarm did not go off. Once I did it goes off though. That is on the "People" setting. Change it to all motion it will go off however.( Note: When it's at this setting, it is harder to set the alarm off. Keep that in mind. )

The alarm sound is very loud. Keep that in mind. With the first week you will probably set the alarm off a few times forgetting you armed it when you left, and if you come home at night your neighbors might be mad at you. However that won't always happen and hopefully you will get in a good groove of turning the alarm off before coming into the home ( Note: You can make the Entry Delay up to 120 seconds if you are afraid of this happening and want to give yourself more time to turn it off ).
There is a slight delay in the video. If you are at home you will notice it, but it's not a huge deal. The video feed can also stay live. I have it on my computer locked on a tab (in Safari) and all I do is click it and see the live video in my living room. It's pretty awesome.
I do also love how it has a humidity and temperature sensors built in. This would help with programmable thermostats and keeping your electric bill down. I can't have those right now, but one day I might be able to!
**WHAT I DON'T LIKE**
I also absolutely love that the video clips are five minutes long and can record up to 1080P. Keep an eye on your data if you have a limit. I love how clear -- especially on the night vision ( which is black and white BTW ). However, I put this under things I don't like -- and why this product has a four star instead of a five star -- because there is currently no way to email or download clips. Cops will tell you they will need that footage and you will just have to say sorry no can do! Keep in mind, this product just launched, and similar services launched with the same limitations. I am willing to live with this but it's important to keep in mind when purchasing this device.

I also like you can add door and motion sensors, but I find it odd that they don't trigger the alarm. They can only be set for "Activities". So, for instance, if you have a motion sensor and walk in front of it a light turns on. Or when you open your front door the light automatically turns on. I personally don't mind it can't be connected to the alarm, but I think it could make the product more expandable if they allowed these sensors to be used that way.
Another missing feature (currently -- and I maybe wrong, too) is creating separate users. I AM SURE this is an update coming because it would be odd that currently when I disarm the system it says "Disarmed by Allen Straith". Well, duh dummy. No one else can disarm it. The only reason they would say this is if one: There are currently ways of creating other users, or two: the feature is coming just is not ready yet. However, I have asked someone in the department who is troubleshooting this system and they told me currently there are no way to create other users.
**WHAT IF I HAVE ADT PULSE -- SHOULD I SWITCH**
I would say not right now. This product is really is for Renters and people who own condo's or small homes. If you are in a house with three or more bedrooms this would be pointless as an alarm system. Also, it lacks features that you currently have and would depend on (such as downloading clips and ending them to cops).
**MY FINAL THOUGHTS**
I love my alarm system. I love learning new things that it can do. I'm going to be getting some lights and motion sensors so I can have lights in my living room and hall turn on automatically when you walk in front of it. I love the video feed and my wife loves being able to talk to our dog Oreo when she is gone. It's pretty cool.
**UPDATE APRIL 17th 2017**
So far I have enjoyed having the alarm. Only one false alarm, and not sure what set it off but since Feb 2017 we haven't had any but the one false alarm. I would recommend having a tablet with a PIN code near by just for the alarm system so if your phone dies you will have quick and easy access to disarm it. Still enjoy and have my service!
