Great looking hood. Installs up to 9ft ceiling OOB

This hood is great to pair with a Samsung cooktop for the WiFi control. Also, this hood accommodates a 9.0 ceiling out of the box. If you have a higher ceiling- just buy the extension accessory. As long as you follow the venting recommendations- this hood is as quiet as most others I've heard. Reading the installation helps alot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Defective Guts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought this hood and cook top to match in 2017 and put in storage because of complete remodel. just had it installed last week and its short circuiting inside the motor box and out of warranty.

Small extension

well, like everyone i was attracted to samung products as they look slick and clean in design. i purchased samsung tv, fridge and hood and i absolutely love the tv and fridge but hood has an issue. the extension that came with my purchase is too small for a 10 feet ceiling and it costs you lot of money to buy an extension. i don't think it is worth the money to buy the hood and then spend few more hundreds on the extension

Auto feature only triggers at Low power. Useless.

automatic feature only triggers at low power, which is too weak that makes it completely useless. this setting cannot be changed. also the auto feature stop the vent immediately after the range fire is off, this totally did not make sense because the cook smell won't stop immediate at the second you turn off the fire. the vent should be kept on for 20 seconds after fire is off. again, no setting can be adjusted. so much technology so poor execution without any provision for user customization. i wish i can get a refund for this expensive stove and range hood set.

Missing parts

I received my hood without the chimney/duct cover. I paid for a full product and got only the bottom half of it. I am disappointed and upset to see everyone else on here with pics got their chimney/duct covers. I bought an entire kitchen suite of products...double oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and refrigerator... but big fail on this one and 7 months later still haven't received the missing parts that never shipped!!!

Don't buy the black stainless

this product scratches too easily. samsung doesn't warranty "cosmetic" issues. the design of the chimney where one piece slides into the other causes instant damage! terrible service, terrible "coating" for a very $$$$ hood.

Please make an island hood version

I few months ago I bought all Samsung black stainless steel appliances (stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator) but didn't realize you guys don't have a hood for an island. Can you please make an island version so I can finish my kitchen? I believe I just need to top part but that has all four sides instead of 3 for when they are mounted on the wall.
