Great product

I bought this product a month ago. It does the work very well as expected. I used another brand name but it had the problem way before the warranty expired.Whirlpool have excellent products. Besides this product, I bought all appliances from Whirlpool. Keep up the good work!

Leaking out the bottom

Did work fine, but leaking suggests critical internal failure.

Direct Replacement makes it much easier!

I bought this as a direct replacement after my old one started leaking. It lasted 15 years so I had no complaints with the old one. As I was replacing the exact same model, it only took about 30 minutes to complete. I left the original collar on the sink so it was just a matter removing the electrical, disconnecting the drain pipe and dishwasher hose and twisting off the old one and putting on the new one. So far, no complaints. Works well and the price is reasonable.

A garbage disposer is hardly a innovative or glamorous product, however I think there is still room for innovation in the area noise reduction. The Whirlpool disposer seems to be typical of other brands on the market providing an opportunity to differentiate your product. Noise damping foam products are useful, but you might consider employing noise damping laminated steels such as MSC's QuietSteel.The performance meets my expectations fully. Food waste is cleared out quickly and efficiently.
