Great Garbage Disposal!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, my 17 year old Whirlpool garbage disposal finally died. I wanted to buy the exact same model so that I could replace it myself and avoid having to redo the plumbing connections. This GC1000PE actually reads as model GC1000PE4 on the plate, and my old one read GC1000PE2. So if this is your situation, don’t worry, this model is the exact same size and openings configuration.
It comes with a power cord which is 31” long and a 3 prong plug (same as my old one). Also included are a set detailed installation instructions, the fittings you see in the attached pics, and an Allen key/wrench. Since it was an identical replacement, it was super easy to do myself and I was done in less than 30 minutes.
Pro Tip: If you’re installing it yourself and you have a dishwasher connection, don’t forget remove the drain plug as per the instructions (or your dishwasher won’t be able to drain).
Whirlpool is a reputable brand and I can definitely say that this garbage disposal lives up to that reputation. I’m very happy with it and can recommend it.

Great Garbage Disposal
