I wanted a nice looking watch that I could wear to fancy events that didn't sacrifice on smart functionality. This does it perfectly for me. It's very minimalistic, not too gaudy, and gets the job done. I've only owned it for a month so I don't know how long the battery lasts, but it hasn't changed battery levels since I've taken it out of the box. Highly recommend.

This watch is stylish and elegant, yet it has some nifty connectivity features. It surely is not an Apple Watch, but I like the haptic notification of an incoming text and the dial indication for the small subset of folks for whom I want to immediately look at my phone. I also like the cool way the hand swing automatically to date or to an international time zone at the push of a button. Those are the features I use most, tho' there are more if you look at the Skagen (SKAH-gen) site. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is that I wish it were just a little thinner... the distinctive difference of most other Skagen models. I now own four of their watches.

I have been eyeing this watch for two years now. Having previously owned a smart watch, I already knew I did not want to be bombarded with constant notifications. I love the simplicity of the watch, the fact that it only notifies me about my most important calls/texts/emails, the fact that I can adjust the strap (and probably the battery) by myself without visiting a jeweler, and the clean lines. I also secretly like the goal tracker, sleep tracker, and step tracker. I strongly suspect the sleep tracker and step tracker are not quite accurate, but they give me an approximation on my amount of sleep and steps and that helps me increase both.

I have an "older" leather band hybrid. The band is slowly wearing out. The mesh band is comfortable. The silver looks great with shirt cuffs or with a suit/jacket. Just wish these watches had a fluorescent hands. It's a pain when you wear glasses to have to grope around at night to look at the bedstand clock or radio to see what time it is. I don't think any Skagen product has fluorescent hands. But, the style and comfort far outweigh this minor inconvenience. Just ordered one for my wife.

Whilst not a bad hybrid watch I think it should be tried on first and the features fully understood before you purchase it. My wife purchased the watch as a gift and is not technically savvy. Unfortunately it was once I set it up and put it on did I discover the watch limitations. In short you can only receive notifications from 6 people you select from your contacts list. Be clear on this, a total of 6 individuals, not six categories, which in turn you could assign individuals to, no just 6 in total. By the time I assigned my family, I couldn't put any of my friends or work contacts. The phone app is very basic and feels like no serious consideration was given to features and usability. Also, this is a heavy watch to wear. Some people may like that, I'm just recommending that you try it on first.

Having tried the apple watch (yuk) and the Samsung S2 (better but not by much) the Skegen Connected is perfect. You don't look like a geek and this gives me just the notifications I need. It's great that you can change the battery yourself easily. im never without my phone but it's nice that when you're busy you can just see at a glance the notifications that have come from your priority list. Very very nicely built and the option of new straps makes for a watch that suits all situations.

I didn't even take it out of the display box, as I immediately knew it was larger than expected and needed to be returned. I had a Skagen I loved but lost several years ago. Beautifully thin. Perhaps the "smart" features required this size. Same reason I would not buy an Apple Watch.

I have had the watch for a couple of weeks and nothing but extreme aggravation. Watch will not stay paired with the app after many hours of trying everything. Even took out the battery and started fresh. It worked for only one day, then nothing.
