Oven fan makes use difficult

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprized to find my new oven has a constantly running fan (and it is NOT a convection oven.) This causes a great deal of difficulty by blowing hot air on the user when trying to remove food from the oven. I get a blast of hot air to the face every time I open the oven. This is a real problem when baking and repeatedly taking in and out pans of cookies. Also difficult when trying to baste or turn meats. I am, however, happy with the cooktop. I like the two-size element and the ease of cleaning the flat surface. Unfortunately, the oven is such a disappointment that I would be cautious of buying another GE without investigating extensively first.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features, beautiful appearance

The oven is huge! Cannot wait for Thanksgiving turkey...

Anchoring system very weak.
