Worth the wait

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We waited over 5 months and we are so glad we didn't cancel the order. We needed a height of no more that 66 inches and this unit is 65 1/2 (perfect). It is attractive, roomier than expected and the bottom freezer is easy to get used to and better for us. It is solid and, so far, has been working great. Opening and closing the door requires getting used to. This is a really good bottom freezer refrigerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I never got to see it in person only a picture but I'm so pleased with it. Just the right size and I always wanted a fridge with a bottom freezer and now I own one.and even better it was made in the USA..

A joy to live with

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a senior, my husband bought this because of having to bend to get anything out of our old fridge which was great when we were younger. I love the ease of having my products at eye level and we can see where everything is located. I love this Amana and the fact that it’s made in America is a plus for sure.

Lighted interior

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We waited from June of 2020 to February 2021 for our new refrigerator, accepting one a few inches smaller just to have a working refrigerator in our kitchen. (We were going downstairs to our garage for the loaner, which leaked.)

Good enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had an earlier version of this fridge in white but decided to replace it with a stainless steel one due to it's age and the fact we wanted all new appliances that matched. While most of the fridge seems to be the same two things of note were disappointing. The old fridge had see-through molded door shelving compartments. Happily since the old and new units were identical, we were able to swap out the old see-through parts and discard the new solid shelving compartments. (Note: the new solid ones DO make the interior of the fridge look cleaner and more streamlined, but we gave that "upgraded" cosmetic feature up for the ability to easily see exactly what we are looking for more quickly. ) The other issue was more disturbing: the lower freezer compartment has too much "give" and unless it is opened and closed exactly from the middle of the handle, it will
not slide properly and ends up not closing fully and sealing properly. Special attention must be given each time it is used. Also this model does not have the little shelf to slide an ice cube tray on, but that does allow for more taller items in the freezer which is nice. I wish that there had been a "smudge-free" stainless option as some other manufacturers offer, as I was naive on how many finger prints stainless shows.
On the plus side we still love the glass adjustable shelving, it seems very well insulated. It is easy to clean and has great lighting.
