Bought this after using a 14 cu ft. top freezer for 27+ years with no problems. It was time to part with it. Spacing for a new refrig/freezer was a problem until I found this 29 inch wide bottom freezer 18 cu. ft Amana. Delivery boys were really good. Didn't have quite enough height space, just a hair too tall. My neighbor solved the problem while the delivery boys made another delivery near by. They stopped in later to see if all was o.k.
Next day small problem with temp control. Tech from our sales people, came early next morning, spoke with Amana's tech folks, replaced a small common part, which he had on his truck. We have been enjoying steady refrig/freezer temps ever since.
Layout of frig is spacious,well lighted interior of both frig/freezer,pull out top freezer basket rolls freely,it is very quiet, keeps ice cream and frozen food great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator about 6 weeks ago. I really wanted a bottom freezer because my daughter had one and I loved it. A top freezer section made no sense to me. My husband is not open to change so I did not even mention a bottom freezer when we had to replace our old refrigerator. We have a permanent spot for the refrigerator that limits the size we can get. We were having trouble finding one that would fit and he liked. I did open the bottom freezer for me to look at. Finally he came to look at what I was so interested in, saw that it would be easer for him to use since he is elderly. That did it. HE LOVES IT! My only complaint is ice cube use and storage is not handy.

I had a smaller built-in space and couldn't find anything that would fit until I came across the Amana 18 cu. ft. ABB1924BRM. It fits with room to spare and the inside room is at least 25% more than the old frig. that had greater cu.ft. capacity. Especially nice is the huge load that the door shelves will hold as well as the big pull out freezer drawer.

Noise level is acceptable but could be better. My old fridge lasted for 18 years. If this one runs as long, I will give it five stars.
