Fridge is 2 years and 8 months old. Now exhibiting the problem common with many manufacturers/models of bottom-freezer fridges (all brands made by very few manufacturers). Bottom freezer fridges are prone to: insufficient engineering of the auto-defrost mechanism. Either the defrost wire isn't powerful enough, or the insulation is too little. The defrost drain between the freezer compartment and fridge can't move the water out before it freezes. It backs up until it obstructs the fan. Then the chilled air in the freezer isn't getting moved up into the fridge compartment and cooling of fridge-temp items stops, even though compressor still working fine and all frozen goods are fine. Usually, the styrofoam insulation between the two compartments has become water-logged and needs to be replaced. It's pricey and inconvenient to fix and is prone to reoccurring.
