Very Nice Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would have given this microwave 5 stars, but gave it 4 stars only because the display is not back-lit which makes it difficult to read in the absence of an outside light source. Other than that, it appears to be an excellent microwave. It has many nice features such as "sensor cook", a 5 speed fan, a switch to turn the turn-table on or off, convection, "sensor reheat", and auto cook options. Using the "sensor" options, you don't need to worry about entering a time to cook the food. The microwave just does it automatically. The microwave was delivered with some physical damage on it's back side. Unfortunately. I was not at home when it was delivered, but they just left it on my front porch. When I opened up the package 2 days later, I saw the physical damage and reported it to the place where I purchased it from. Because the microwave appeared to operate normally, and the place of purchase offered me an extended 10yr warranty at no cost, I decided to keep it. Once installed, you can't see the damage in the back at all. The microwave's black, stainless steel finish is highly aesthetic and the unit looks great.
So far, the unit works great and I'm happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new microwave. I would also suggest to LG to include a back light for the display that can be turned on or off. With a back light, this microwave gets 5 stars.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality, easy to use

Difficult to read information panel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit was installed approximately 5 weeks ago. I am still trying to understand how to operate it. There is definitely much to learn and remember. Certainly not as user friendly as our GE Advantium 120. It does cook very well once I have set it correctly.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this LG studio microwave to go with my new range. Love the sensor style cooking and convection baking feature ( its absolutely like having a second oven) its a really nice microwave and I love all the bells and whistles. Wish it had a lit panel as the buttons are pretty difficult to read in the evening. The more I use it, the more I like it. Have only used the convection bake option twice but so far its a really handy feature.

Great Microwave Except For...
on May 12, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is truly a great microwave but for one flaw (Well two). The controls on the panel are not backlit. Depending on lighting or your angle of view the buttons can be impossible to read. You need good lighting to read them. A little design change to add back lighting would have been a great feature. The second item is the NFC feature. I will say it is borderline useless. The associated app can only do the most basic things. Ex. The microwave can be programmed through he panel to have two steps when cooking (1- Cook at 100% for 3 minutes, 2- Cook at 10 minutes at 50%), you can not use the app to set this up and program the microwave, nor can you store this program into the microwaves single program storage. This type of limitation, in my opinion, make this feature useless.

Don't judge a book by it's cover!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this microwave last weekend. We were distracted by the beauty and the feel of the solid door (when opening/shutting). We also purchased the gas stove in the same store display so the presentation is beautiful. Unfortunately, in our thrall we failed to inquire about wattage and learned at home that it's just 950 watts. We had 1200 watts in our last microwave. Seems like the horsepower is a little short for such a high end device???
