Not practical

LG's top of the line dish washer is quiet! So much quieter than our previous dishwasher, there's hardly a comparison. And the "black stainless" finish is classy and blends in with the rest of our kitchen. We were so looking forward to the 3rd level for silverware. But we were so disappointed when we found several of our knives and spoons in each wash don't come clean. Particles left on the back of spoons. Layers of food left on the front. 2) The instructions so to not overlap dishes. This is certainly true. They don't come clean if you do. 3) But most annoying is the poor design of the folding racks in the middle and lower levels. Dishes are stacked facing a side. There is plenty of room to make two rows - one of full size dishes, the other of smaller side plates. However, after carefully arranging the dishes in 2 perfectly aligned rows, it's all but impossible to keep them in these neat rows when sliding the tray into the washer. The slightest jar causes both size plates to roll. Further, the tines do a poor job of holding the plates upright no matter which direction the plates are facing. 4) The foldable tines fold down much too easily. I'm always having to put them back up.
Pros: Quality, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned this dishwasher for 8 months and although it cleans well and is quite, we would not buy this model again. The adjustable tines that hold and space the dishes do not stay in place and cause items to move and to fall during loading and washing operations. We have broken more then a few items because of the poorly designed adjustable tines
Pros: Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like that it is an extremely quiet dishwasher (though we're a little surprised by the length of the wash cycle - 2 hrs, 11 mins.) and the dishes come out shiny clean. The top slide-out for utensils is a real plus, and we really like the silverware tray. We are still working on figuring out all the changes that can be made to the interior dish compartment to get it to where it works best for us. All in all we're very satisfied with this dishwasher.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I seem to have an issue with my plastic glasses coming out to f the dishwasher with a film on them and some of the plates have a powdery residue. I'm not very happy about having to hand wash what just went through my dishwasher. I love the fact thta it is so quiet that I can't hear it running.

Great Dishwasher Except For...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher will take a little to get used to. The layout of each draw and all of the moving dividers, etc. can be somewhat confusing and depending on what you are washing it needs to change. Great to have the options but sometimes too many options... This dishwasher has no heating element for drying so a drying agent is a MUST. Without it your dishes will be soaked when you take them out. It does say that in the manual but it can be easily missed. Took us a few washes before we realized it. We thought something was wrong. The biggest "flaw" with this dishwasher is the control panel. It is neat, clean and very simple. What it is not is very visible. The controls are not backlit so they are very difficult to read in low/no lighting. Most days I turn on the dishwasher as I am heading to bed. The kitchen lights can be off or low. In this condition I can not read or even see any of the buttons on the panel. This was a poor design and should be corrected. Unfortunately we will have to learn to live with it. Other than this we love the dishwasher.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1st time user of LG Dishwasher; and, have been using for since 30 June 2017. Have removed 3rd top rack. Found couldn't place tall glasses on 2nd (middle) rack without kitting 3rd rack. Going to try and use this 3rd rack ~ paid extra. Bottom rack ~ can't adjust to fit my plates. They keep falling over!! Use the Quick & Dry or Normal cycle. When cycles are complete, have moisture on the inside door. Not happy. Other cycles are longer and I want to conserve water and energy. Hopefully, I'll find solutions. Maybe a follow-up.
