Lots of space and lighting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator 3 months ago and I am glad I did. I love how much space it has. The LED light in the freezer is awesome. I have never seen a light in the freezer before and I love it. The fridge is also very quiet. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fridge freezes eggs & veg / Freezer doesn't freeze ice cream

I bought this 6/16/17 from a major national retailer. Today is 8/10/17. So far, FIVE in-home service calls from have failed to make this product operate properly. Twice they have replaced temperature control units, Our family of 6 still does not have a working fridge/freezer. The fridge freezes vegetables, pickles, eggs, milk, cheese, cold cuts, juice... But the freezer leaves the ice cream soft and the ice wet. We have the fridge set on the 2nd setting - far warmer than "recommended." If we put the fridge on the warmest temp setting to try to save our fresh foods, the ice and ice cream are ruined (rather than just wet or soft). We were told by Maytag that when the tech came out today, he was to call Maytag while on site and go through some sort of troubleshooting routine with them to determine what might be wrong. My wife tells me the service tech refused to do that, said it needed yet ANOTHER replacement of temperature control unit (3RD TIME'S A CHARM??) and called Maytag from his vehicle after leaving our home. When I called Maytag this afternoon, they told me the were meant to schedule with a different service company for a 2nd opinion. So now they'll do that - but it will take up to 5 days before we hear from them to schedule an appointment, because apparently, there's only one service company in the greater Philadelphia, PA area who will service a new Maytag appliance that they didn't sell themselves. Meanwhile, here we are, going almost 60 days, without proper refrigeration and no recourse. Lemon laws don't apply to refrigerators.

Too noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this two weeks ago. I like the space layout inside, but my only big complaint is that this refrigerator is making a loud buzz sound up behind the freezer. My wife complained for a whole week. Any one has this problem?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very disappointed in this refrigerator. It is poorly constructed and not as advertised in the product specifications. The deli drawer doesn't fit properly and there's a large gap between the shelf and the top of the drawer. There are plastic shavings on all the door bins that were not properly trimmed. The door bins cannot fit a gallon of milk as stated in the product info page. We contacted Maytag to return the product and pick out a new one, but they were't interested in helping us. Will not be buying another Maytag product.

Don't buy a Maytag

Poor Quality and customer care, Maytag did not want to help us out. Refrigerator freezes things and the freezer doesn't, 6 repair service calls later it still doesn't work and Maytag refuses to make good.

Nothing good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was delivered on June 23, 2022. As a homeowner of 40 years I have a lot of experience with appliances.
This is the worst refrigerator I have had the misfortune to own. I wish the maytag man would come and pick it up.
Everyday it sounds like a humpback whale calling it's mate. Not ok.
The only reason it's here is because no other refrigerator would fit into my space. I guess all manufacturers think everyone owns a mansion. Not!

do not buy

delivered 9-28-2016 freezer stopped running on 1-19-17 less than 4 months old had service call 1-23-2017 said need new control module replaced on 1-30-2017. Took 6 DAYS for freezer to get to 0 degrees at max setting max flow to freezer with new control model that only has 3 setting instead of the original 4 settings. call again for service. Guy said its normal for freezer to take that long to get cold even though manual states 24 hours and that it is normal for the temperature in freezer to go up to 10 degrees and that I should not worry till it went up to 15 degrees then I should worry. Also repairman stated it would be lucky to get 5 years out of this fridge. My ice cream is melting now at 12 degrees and my other frozen food is going up and down on the same roller coaster of temperatures Food spoils 50% quicker for every 5 degrees above 0 degrees now I have to try and get them out again and let them tell me I do not have a problem with my freezer and that is how they work. If that is what Maytag thinks then that is the reason to shop for another brand.
