Purchased this a couple of weeks ago and it is very nice quality . Customer service very helpful ( daniela) pointed out some things I was doing wrong and got it straightened out.very good picture quality.

Simple Installation!

This DVR was wired and installed in about two hours, because the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The app is so intuitive -- it installed easily on our phones and iPad, so now we can readily view, screenshot, and share information from home or abroad. We are thrilled; this is by FAR the best DVR we have owned.

Quality Unit

Setup was simple and connectors compatible with older non-HD DVR model. However, unit was incompatible with video surveillance client software provided with older DVR model and internet portal used to access cameras was not supported on Firefox ... only on Internet Explorer. I returned unit for these reasons and reverted to existing DVR model.

I just bought this DVR as a replacement to a 21011 that has it's HDD quit. My cameras are still the older SD version. I like the upgraded HD DVR. Way more user friendly. I like the Defender HD app, easier to use than the ClearVu, in my view. I did search out Lorex and others but to be honest Defender has been pretty good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got a few weeks ago and its doing a great job of catching people jumping fence and destroying it mine and neighbors. The images are perfect, so if your looking for a good outdoor security unit at a great price this is the one you want.

Best part is ease of setup. This is my 4th system I've had over the years. Best plug n play ability I've experienced. The app to view camera's remotely is fantastic.

Defender DVR

This is my second Defender system and I'm very satisfied with it. The picture and ease of navigation is great. I have 8 cameras and it is clear on every camera. Very easy to set up and use. I had it connected, cameras designated and recording within a half hour.
