This is my third defender dvr, I’ve purchased from a 4 camera to a eight, and now a 16. So happy I did so ! There are simply amazing!! I get all videos how I want and when. Thanks you guys, especially to Suzanne, she’s been so helpful always! Thanks again Suzanne

I would Recommend this DVR unit

This is the second Defender DVR unit that I have purchased. I am very pleased with the unit, it was easy to install and the the setup process was easy to follow. Downloading the Defender App for my cell phone went well, making it easy for me to view my cameras when I am away. The reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is more challenging to view my cameras using my laptop. Defender software is not supported using Google Chrome, so you need to use Internet Explorer, something that I don't do. I did however open Internet Explorer and followed the instructions as outlined by Defender. It did not work. I found an instructional video from Defender on You Tube. After watching the video It appeared that I needed to access my router and open some ports. I am not a computer tech and most likely should not be making changes in my router. My next plan was to simply download the Defender App and install it on my windows 10 laptop, but it is not compatible and will not install. I then reached out to Defender support and they advised me that the only way for me to view my cameras is through Internet Explorer using the Defender plugin. As of this writing I am still unable to view my cameras using my laptop, but continue to work on the issue. My recommendation to Defender would be for them to create an App to view the cameras using windows 8 or 10. Please understand that I have been using Defender equipment since 2014 and I am pleased with the system's performance. I do recommend Defender cameras, DVRs and equipment.
