I bought the Defender 2 Tb HD 1080P 8CH With 8 Bullet Cameras 09/22/2017 and just had the wiring ran and the cameras installed yesterday and it is working beautifully. The app on my iphone lets me review and record footage on my phone if I need to show it to the authorities and change some settings on the dvr. Very good product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent value for the price point

Purchased the HD1T8B8 last month and everything arrived in a single box within a couple of days. Initial setup using the enclosed instructions was easy. Everything needed to get the system up and running is included in the box.
The challenge for me was running the camera cables to where they were needed. Once the cables were installed and cameras connected the picture quality was better than expected.
Although the included instructions were sufficient for initial setup, you'll need to download the more detailed document for customizing the DVR setup(Scheduling, recording, alarms, motion, email, etc).
If you want access via the defender phone app, be sure to keep the Cat6 cable between the router/switch and DVR under 30' as recommended. (15' or less would be better).
The phone app is sufficient for viewing and playback. I was having serious app performance issues after downloading/installing but after deleting/reinstalling the app it worked flawlessly.
After a couple of days of use I contacted Defender and chatted with Darrielle who was professional and answered all of my questions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought recently and am amazed by how easy it was to set up and use. The picture is much better than I anticipated! I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a HD camera system.

I bought this system to replace my old system about a month ago. The picture is very clear and the motion detection is good. The DVR is very quiet while running. The manual could be made a little easier to understand. I would recommend this product.

Setup was easy, got it set up for front porch to email me pictures whenever it detects motion just on the small area right in front of the front door. Setup was infinitely easier than i thought it would be. Product works great. I bought 2 systems for my house (one for the front and one for the back). My in-laws loved them so much they asked for a system for X-mas because their teenage neighbor is causing havoc in their neighborhood.

Set up is pretty simple. Playback from the app is non-exsistant but viewing from the app is really nice. Nice picture quality, especially in 1080. When I received mine....one camera was not working but customer service replaced it without any problems. So far so good
