Great product simple installation high-quality product. Only product I would use as it was recommended by my fellow co-workers which are policemen. Can't say enough about simple instructions easy installation and quality. Would recommend this product over anything else. The only product I would recommend.

Great Security System

I've read mainly good reviews, but there have also been some bad ones. In the end I decided to give this product a try for my first security system and I am not disappointed. The camera quality is really clear and the app (at least for me) is pretty simple and easy to use. All the products that come with the kit are high end quality and deliver crisp video footage. The setup process was not bad at all; it was pretty much straightforward, and if you still can't figure it out there are plenty of tutorial videos online. Thanks Defender!

I've always considered installing a video surveillance system and with our local police department reporting a rash of recent entry into locked vehicles, I decided to purchase a system. As a retired deputy sheriff, I understand the importance of deterring crime. That said, I also understand first-hand that criminals are the dumbest human beings to walk the Earth. If one misses the obvious cameras I've installed, at least I'll have their jail pre-booking photo to post on social media.

Works better than I thought it would. Easy to set up and work thru the menu system. Got the app and get motion alerts on my phone. Perfect for me.

Hard part is running the wires but after that it is plug and play.
Had one camera that malfunctioned out of the box, they emailed me the return forms, i had the new one back here in less than a week.

Bought this on 16 June 2017 and delivered June 26th. Comes with the eight cameras and each camera comes with a 60 ft cord. Would of been nice if they would of threw in a couple extra 60 ft extension cables. I had to buy 3 more cables to make the distance for my farthest three cameras. Daytime video is great; nighttime is good, but if you have some type of ambient lighting night time video is a lot better. Had a little trouble figuring out the DVR remote; instruction booklet for remote would of been nice to have. Also, you have to download the manual for the 1080p DVR, having it come with the system would of also been nice, its 49 pages long. Install for cameras was easy; just make sure when you run your cables you have the correct end to connect to your camera. For the dome cameras you have to pop the camera out of the socket to install the screws, once done installing base, just hook up the cables and pop back in socket base. At night time the night vision light may glare if you have something to close to your camera (such as a roof overhang), so you may have to re-position to get rid of the night vision glare. DVR set up was also easy with the downloaded manual. Had a slight issue with the android app; had to reload the DVR to get it to work. Have had the system running for a week now and haven't had any issues, not even with the android app. Overall its a good system for the price; I definitely would recommend purchasing if your looking for a basic security system.
