I BOUGHT THIS DEFENDER SURVEILLANCE CAMERA HD SYSTEM IN NOVEMBER, 2016. AND, I HAVE NO REGRETS. THE SYSTEM IS EXCELLENT!!!
THE PICTURE QUALITY IS GREAT IN THE DAY...IN THE NIGHT, CRISP AND CLEAR. RECORDING AND PLAYBACK IS AS EASY AS 123. THE REMOTE VIEWING FROM MY PHONE AND COMPUTER...ESPECIALLY, FROM MY PHONE WHEN I AM AWAY FROM HOME GIVES ME A SENSE OF SECURITY. I FIND THIS DEFENDER SYSTEM TO BE AN OVERALL 5 STAR EQUIPMENT. THE SERVICE CONTACTS FROM DEFENDER TEAM MEMBERS: CANDANCE AND DONNA ARE SUPERB...!!!

I purchased this system to upgrade a prior defender system we've had for about 6 years. I debated purchasing a different brand but since I was familiar with how my system works, I stuck with defender. The system was very easy to setup. Much easier than the prior system. I did however have to run all new cables as the HD ones are different. That was the only pain.
The sales lady I spoke with when making the purchase said their were instructional videos on YouTube for the HD system but all I could find were ones for the older systems. It would be helpful if there were specific videos online or included about every detail with the system. I have been able to figure out most of what I need to know but only because I had a prior system.
I love the fact I can view it from my phone 24/7. I've had it up and running for about a week now and love it.

This was a replacement for a other brand system that died. I can't believe how clear the HD picture is both day and night. I just finished installing all 8 cameras under the eaves of our home. The most time consuming part of it was running the wires through the attic, but that's to be expected. I love the zoom feature in this dvr. just draw a box and it will zoom in that area. Also this system actually will stream to the app unlike my old system. Defender makes an awesome product, will totally recommend it to my neighbors.

I was looking for a new system with 8 cameras including 4 dome ones and came across this system, im very pleased with it especially with the easy to connect to the remote app on my phone, will recommend to anyone

I bought this unit in Jan. 17. Just installed it and it works very well. The set up was easy and installation was true to the printed manual.

This system works great for our small business. Easy to use with good pictures. In the beginning I had some questions hooking it up and the customer support was great. Spoke with Brian Gaskell and he was so helpful and patient.

Nice HD camera kit with DVR

I bought this 4 piece camera kit to install around my house. The cameras look pretty solid even though they are made of plastic. Everything I need is included in the kit. The cables are pretty long but they are not FT4 rated so you would have to run the cable through a conduit or wrap it with a fire retardant sleeving. From a picture point of view, these cameras are awesome. The image is pretty clear even during total darkness. The IR LED's are glowing a bit red when they work. I find it pretty cool or dissuasive but it is not much stealthy. Great features and versatility with the DVR and its software. I would buy it again for sure.
