I bought this 3 month's ago. It was an upgrade from my previous system. The HD cameras are much clearing and have a move wide angled view.

Remote viewing reduced to phone/tablet app

Bought a DVR system so I could use it as a DVR system should be used. NOT through a cheezy phone app that requires logging into Defender's website. I should be able to monitor the cameras from my desktop in my office, but now I can't.
Customer support tells me this functionality was removed last year.
Bought the system before this functionality was removed, now it doesn't work?
Is it actually legal for a company to remove a function from something you've already purchased??

Really great system

I bought this back in may of this yr from walmart.com. The system was easy to put up. Took us two wkends bc of the number of cameras and hubbys mood lol. Set up was easy. App is easy. The only issue i had was the app stopped working and wasnt letting me view live streaming away from home. Well now its the end of sept and finally had a great customer service rep named DANIELA who FINALLY was able to solve the problem. It took time but the issue is solved. The only thing i wish you could get email alerts AND view LIVE STREAMING. Other than that the system is what i wanted and needed.

Does The Job!

I bought this a few months ago. I wanted to wait a while before I wrote a review to see how it would perform. It was pretty easy to set up. I haven't set up all of the features yet but so far so good. The cameras have really good daytime vision. The night vision is fair. Needs to be where there is light to see any distance, close is ok. It does what I need it to do for now. For the price, I think it's a good system. I will add more cameras soon. Overall...I would buy again if I had to have another.

Has everything you'll need for front of house side of house back of house once you get to know your machine has excellent features easy to use
