Great improvement over prior generation

I just purchased a HD1T8 to replace my old 21001. My old unit operated for years without a problem. I replaced the old unit for the improved picture resolution and other new features. The installation process was improved and went well.
My only concern of the new model is that Defender no longer supports a browser for wireless PC connection.

I just purchased this unit and installed 3 of the cameras today. Planning on mounting the other one tomorrow. The App is really pretty easy to use also. I need to figure out how I can see them now from another PC somewhere now? I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a video system. Resolution is really very good!

Great Price for good system, Easy setup

This product is excellent for the price. Fantastic daytime clarity. Night vision is OK. Near camera is good beyond 20 ft is ok in complete darkness. If there is a little light it is decent beyond that but I imagine all cameras are that way. My only issue is the memory. 1TB and 3 cameras with 1 set to record all the time and 2 on motion. Only allows 13 days of history and I have the 8 camera setup with 1 TB. I will be adding 1 more camera which will lower the history even more. I hooked the 4th up and I think it lowered by 4 days or more. I then lowered the sensitivity of the motion and it gave me more or less memory depending on how much motion was saved and detected. The max sensitivity was set off with moths and small bugs and in the day with bird shadows flying by. I was impressed with that!!!! adjusted to about a setting of 4 and 5 was perfect to save memory and motion saved. All in all excellent product!! Memory was my only issue and it came with 1 TB so I guess it was really a non issue since you can buy a 2TB model!! .

Had a problem getting a signal on HDMI cable, Darrielle at tech support was very helpful, and problem solved.

I was impressed on how easy the setup and installation was. I still have a couple things I need to set up, but from what I read, the help desk is fanominal. Five other guys at my department bought the same model and are satisfied as well.

The only issue I am having is the Users that I set up cannot log in
using their own user ID and password.
