Nice cameras

Just bought it and installed, very user friendly easy set up and good menu, the bad thing was getting in my attic and running the wires but it was all good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just finish installing and the clarity is simply awesome! The night vision is also clear. Melissa from Defender was apleasure yo speak with wheb I needed another cable. No hassles at all.

GREAT CAMERA SYSTEM !

I have owned a defender camera system for about 7 years. Last year I upgraded my DVR and cameras to a HD1080p system....and they have gotten even better. I am able to easily view the cameras at home or even better, I can easily view my cameras right from my iphone. On occasion...I have had some trouble, but emailing Tech Support was simple. They always responded within a day (usually within a few hours) and I always found a solution to any problems.
Most recently, my experience with Darrielle on the Customer Experience Team was amazing and she quickly troubleshooted my problem and had my cameras back up within minutes!!!
I could not be happier with my system and the service they provide and I highly recommend anyone looking for a great system for their home or office and at a great price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice system, relatively easy installation

This system is pretty easy to set up. Excellent picture from cameras during the day, night is ok. Night picture might be better if you live in an area with more light pollution. The only complaint I had during set up was about the cables. I've never used or set up a camera system before so being a complete novice, the label tags on the ends of the cables were easy to get confused if I wasn't paying close attention. The picture of a camera on both ends of the yellow cable made it easy for me to get the ends mixed up. I ran two cables down through the wall from my attic, crawled out to the eaves and dropped the cable out to connect to the camera only to discover I had run the cable backwards (I had the end that was supposed to connect to the DVR outside with the camera). It's very obvious that the cable with the yellow connector is the video cable since it connects to the DVR and the red ended cable connects to the squid. It would make set up MUCH more user (dummy) friendly if the yellow tag picture had a camera on the camera end and a box (DVR) on the DVR end. Or even if the camera end had a "C" and DVR end had a "D" instead of "A" and "B".
One other thing I'm not very fond of is the sound the DVR makes. I'm pretty sure it's the sound of the hard drive turning but I don't know why it's so loud. It was quiet for the first two weeks after setup and then started making this noise. I don't know why it started or how to stop it. It doesn't bother anyone else in my house so I'm trying to learn to live with it.

Some person I knew vandalized my car twice on my driveway at night. I decided to buy this kit and install cameras on my house, pointing at the driveway. The picture quality is crisp and clear. With the house lights on, the picture goes from black and white to colour at night.
This is my second kit btw. My first kit is at my workplace. On the iphone app, both systems merge and I can see all 8 cameras on the same screen. I love it!

Good Features for a Great Price

I researched for a year before deciding on this system. Compared to other systems this has the best quality with the most features. For the price this system can't be beat.
