Great system

I have used this unit for about a year and have had zero problems. I did not need tech support until I misplaced my password. I emailed Defender and received a prompt response from Darrielle who was very helpful. I would recommend this system to anyone.

bought this system 2 weeks ago for a customer and was having a problem understanding how to record only on motion. contacted defender chat online and received video setup info from Derrielle, this video clear this problem up. Thanks Derrielle.

Posted one review as soon as I got this unit and set it up in 30 min to check it out
It was great
Now I have installed Defender at my lake house to record when I am not there
EVEN more impressed now Night vision Is GREAT and was so easy to hook up and get running. Have multiple views of the entrance and entire property
May have to get more cameras just for more coverage.
I am so glad I bought this and am truly impressed of the picture quality

Purchased this unit about 3 weeks ago due to area changes.
Installation was straight forward and I was up and running in short order.

Will be hooking up internet alerts ASAP.

Great System -- No Buyer's Remorse Here!

After a couple of months of reviewing different surveillance systems (wired and wireless), I purchased a wired 1080P 8-channel unit with one terabyte and four bullet cameras. These reviews were the main reason why as most were positive. I’m happy to say that I can now add my positive review – and not just for the extended warranty (a nice incentive as well, but I would leave a review regardless). Set-up was extremely easy. Picture quality is outstanding. Setting motion alerts was easy – just be prepared. The features in the software are many – you just have to figure out what they do. That would be one of only two negative comments.
1. The manual does tell you what each feature is, but doesn’t tell you why you might want to use one option over another or why it does what it does. Consequently, you have to use each function to see what really happens. Not a big deal, it just takes time to figure them out.
2. The other negative is with the smart phone app. It does work, but sometimes it seems hit or miss. I find myself logging in and out until I get the connection to the device. It sees it but won’t connect to it. That’s not an internet issue as I can get connected but the device is not recognized by the software. Not a deal breaker, but annoying at times. Again, the explanations in the manual could be a bit more in depth.
Overall this is a great system. I would highly recommend it and am looking forward to adding to it in the future.

Nice clear picture

We purchased this security system because there have been several reported thefts on our street, and we needed some type of security to catch someone if they came on our property. We like everything about it except the cable cords for hooking up to a computer are way too short. That was a huge challenge.

Easy Setup

The whole process was simple, directions are easy to follow. I am not a computer whiz, so simple was a big plus. The cameras work great, good clear pictures on TV screen. No complaints!
One of the cameras was a little out of focus. I called customer service and they issued a call tag for it. I received a replacement within a short time.
Over all a great system!
