Super easy conversion

We've had an SD Defender system for several years and the HDD drive just died on it. I contacted Defender regarding just swapping out the DVR portion, and they were very helpful in answering all my questions. I went ahead and ordered a whole new system, and the DVR swap was super easy. I love the new mobile and internet viewing features, as well as the simple set up for motion capture, etc. Will eventually swap out our old SD cameras with the new HD ones, since they will still work on our existing lines. Much easier than having to redo everything at one time.

This is the second DEFENDER system I have bought. The other one is four years old and still works great. I wanted to go 8 cameras do I upgraded. Easy setup and running in no time. Tech support is great and easy going. The app does not work that well

Quality Product and Picture

I purchased the HD1T4B4 system as a replacement for my 12 year old 4 camera,
poor picture quality, standard definition system. The picture quality from the Defender HDCB1, 1080P cameras is what I was hoping for. The wide screen picture and quality on my 55" oled tv is first-rate. The installation and setup was quite easy. I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend the Defender HD1080P security systems.

Impressive system for the price

After some very careful planning, I installed the 4-camera system in my home with one unit on each facade of the house. Initially, only two cameras were installed at the front and read entrances - 60 ft. just wasn't long enough, so needed to order two 100 ft. cables to reach the gable end units off the upper attic exterior walls.
Once the arduous task of running internal lines from the attic, down the chimney chase, through ceiling + wall cavities, and finally into my ground floor office was completed, both my wife and I were delighted with the feed quality on all our devices; consisting of a 55" HD plasma TV, 27" HD monitors, 2 HD laptops, HD tablets and smartphones. Very impressive quality of hardware and digital display.
My wife especially enjoys accessing the cameras remotely on her cellphone, via Wi-Fi, or the phone's data plan. At first the playback and live feed quality appeared blurry, until we discovered the icon that converts the image to "High Quality".
My only qualm is with the insufficient level of information available to the user - both from online and manual sources. Much of this was gradually obtained intuitively through continued use. I highly recommend this system as an affordable, basic security system for home or business.
