Pleased with purchase

Purchased this via online webpage. Was concerned about lack of installation manual, but it was pretty easy (red to red, yellow to yellow). Picture quality is great as is playback feature. Very pleased with nightvision. Only comment is that a user manual would be nice. Want to know how to save to flash drive, but no idea...yet.

I bought this for our work and its pretty simple to set up. Haven't seen the new cameras yet compared to our old Defender model but it appears they will be much better.

Excellent viewing features

I replaced a "SecurityMan" 4 camera system with the Defender system. What an amazing difference. I used the wired cameras due to being in a metal building. Donna, from Defender, was a great help with the purchase of the unit, and the wire extensions I was going to need for two of the cameras. She responded to all my emails with the questions I had. The only problem I have is the night vision will not work, due to external lighting around my building. The app works great for viewing from wherever I might be.

Better than expected

I'm going from gamecam to this. Plugging everything together was easy and the picture quality and field of vision is better than I expected. The program features gives you many different viewing options which I enjoy. Very happy with this unit!

A few month's ago I bought this system from Home depot and installed at my business. The set up was not hard but the remote viewing app is very slow and a couple of channels are always on and off. Also I did not find any way to instantly download the recorded videos from DVR to phone remotely.
Also, I tried to install it on my computer for remote viewing but no luck.
Picture quality is also not that great either considering the amount of money spent.
Earlier I had a lot cheaper ZMODO system and their remote app was far better and picture quality was almost same. I could install that on my computer as well without any trouble and could view and download remotely.
I will not recommend this system to anyone.

This system is so far ahead of my old "standard definition" system, that it is hard to believe. This Defender security system is sharp and clear, and easy to set up and use, even by someone who is not tech savvy like me.
The one problem that I had with my system was fixed quickly and to my complete satisfaction by their great tech support. I would recommend this system to anyone with any security concerns.
