We ordered and received product quickly and after wiring was done was easy to install to DVR and has a great picture.

Great pictures

The shipping was fast. Easy to install and set up. I did have problems with 2 of the cables, which they are sending to me now. The picture is very clear. I bought new ASUS 1080p monitor to go with the system.
I gave it 4 stars because I was unaware that you can't back up to a cloud.
So, if some breaks in, sure you got video. Then they steal your DVR, and there goes your video.

Good Quality, Struggling Mounting Angle

First time security camera for home. Bought this unit based on online review, 1080 quality is great, like the option to switch between 1080 HD and lower resolution. Struggling with mounting the camera to get the angle I want. The camera technically allows change of direction in one way only (i.e. 90-degree up and 90-degree down) but not left and right. This limitation restricts the desired view considerably. However, since the camera is connected to the mounting base by a threaded connection, the threaded connection can be rotated/loosened to allow the up-down flexibility to be pointing towards the left or right. My grief is that Defender's viewing app does not allow the picture to be rotated to an up-right view, which means I have to rotate the phone or tablet to an odd angle to view the display. I would have thought that this is intuitive. If the camera does not allow flexibility in the left-right direction, at least the viewing app should allow the rotated camera's view to be readjusted/displayed up-right on the phone/tablet. Also wish that the cable connected to the camera is longer as this short cable would be very hard to reach coming in the roof eave. Trying to reach the short cable near the roof eave and hook up to the main line would be very challenging.

Replace my old night owl system which was'nt of great quality with this system the quality is awesome and the systems works great ...two runs required longer cable so i just add the old night owl cable and i was good to go....viewing on laptop and android no problems.....thanks guys

Fairly Easy Setup

Received the unit 3 days in advance of expected delivery. Initial setup was fairly easy and I was able to navigate through the manuals with minor difficulty without having to call the help centre. The cellphone app works well and was easy to setup as well as on my laptop and desktop computers. Picture quality is good in the standard viewing option and improves greatly when going to HD quality. All in all, a good purchase.
